PREVIOUSLY
I put the movie in the DVD player, grabbed the remote, and sat down. Rin sat in my lap like always and I started the movie.
A little later. Sesshomarus pov
We were watching the movie and I felt something lean on my arm. Rin noticed too and looked over. As I looked, I saw Aikétó had fallen asleep, her breathing calm. I took this time to admire her many beautiful features: The way her hair frames her face perfectly, and the way her lips are parted slightly. 'So beautiful,' I thought. No what am I thinking? I am the lord of the western lands. I mustn't love a human.
Aiké pov
There was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Rin said as she got up and opened the door to see Kagome.
"I came to tell you that dinner is ready," Kagome said. She quickly noticed the sleeping Aikétó and walked over to wake her.
"Huh?" I questioned as my eyes fluttered open.
"It's dinner time, get up," Kagome informed while shaking her cousin awake.
"Wait, dinner time? How long did I sleep?" I asked while rubbing my eyes and sitting up.
"Long enough. Also, Mom made your favorite, teriyaki chicken stuffed onigiri, with pickled yams to the side and dango for dessert,"
(For those of you that don't know, teriyaki chicken is chicken sauteed in a sweet sauce. Onigiri is the proper term for riceballs. Rice balls are just other foods like meat, sushi, ect. surrounded by rice and packed tightly together. Pickled Yams are sweet potatos with a bunch of different spices, sugar, and onions...I think. Lastly, dango is just sweet dumplings on a stick.)
"YES!" I fist bumped the air,"Come on Rin, lets go!" I yelled as I slung Rin over my shoulder. I ran halfway out the door before I stopped and turned. "Hey Sesshomaru, you coming?" I grinned.
"Hm," He responded, nodding his head slightly.
"Alright!" I said and looked at Kagome. She nodded signaling that they'd be down in a moment. "Just hurry or it'll be all gone!" I said laughing along with Rin as I ran down the stairs. Seeing the rest of the family seated at the table, I sat down as well setting Rin beside me.
"Well, dear, where's Kagome and that fellow that you keep staring at, Sesshomaru was it?" Grandpa questioned. My cheeks flushed pink. Auntie and Rin both laughed as my cheeks darkened in color.
"Oh stop that, Grandpa! Besides, we know it's true, even without words, I see how you look at him," Auntie said teasingly while waving her chopsticks in my direction.
"AUNTIE, STOP!" I buried my face in my hands, "He might hear you," I mumbled. Everyone bursted out laughing.
Meanwhile
Kagome's pov
"Sesshomaru, can I have a word with you?" Kagome asked.
Sesshomaru nodded showing she had his attention.
"What are your feelings towards Aikétó?" Kagome questioned.
Sesshomaru stiffened as tension grew in the air.
"Well?" Kagome urged.
"I don't know what you're implying, wretched woman," Sesshomaru stated annoyed.
