Dissociate (Termination Academy originally, 2012)

AUTHOR'S MESSAGE

This story was originally intended to be finished around 2013, the early days of Wattpad. Back then, the 11 year old me was very hooked with thriller and mystery genres; stories about serial killers were popular during those times. And so, I was inspired to write my own story, and so Termination Academy was created.

7 years later, a bored 18 year old me decided to download Wattpad once again and read some stories. I browsed my profile to reminisce some memories and then I saw my two cringy unfinished books.

I read. I laughed. I cringed.

Then I thought, "Why not finished what I have started years ago?"

I have already finished writing many pieces of literature as part of my requirements. With this, I wanted to see how far I've gone in writing.

With this, I will rewrite and finish what my young self started.

As I work and revise this story, I will intentionally leave my unedited version of the story so you can read the original one I wrote 7 years ago. It was written in Filipino, so some of you may not be able to understand it.

I plan to write Dissociate in the English language as I've become more comfortable in writing using English (pero Tagalog pa rin siyempre).

I plan not to rush this project as I intend to make this book a representation of my growth in writing. Also, the theme of serial killers are clichés nowadays (atleast for me) so I will do my best to make the story as unique and realistic as possible. I will do research and find inspirations so as I can end up with a good output.

I will also revise the old synopsis as it will be almost different compared to the new plot and create a new cover but I will keep the original ones published.

With this, I will now finish, my project.

This will be Dissociate.
