I open my eyes to the darkness of a room, blinking rapidly to adjust my eyesight, the only light source coming from a oval shaped window. I walk slowly to the light source, my head throbbing every step I took to get closer. standing in front of it I realize it's not a window but a mirror. I was looking at myself or at someone that looked like me. She was smiling, combing her hair. Tho she look like me her hair was white, I grab a strand of my black hair and stare at it in confusion.
"No, no, no, no, this is wrong, this is all wrong."
My mind was a blur, but I knew, I was in the wrong side of the mirror. I began to bang on the glass trying to break the mirror, so I could escape."
"I'm trapped! This is all wrong!"
The other me didn't even realize that her reflection was moving or maybe she couldn't even see me. A teasing laughter straddles me and captures my attention. I jump back scared and confused.
"No fun being on the other side. Am I right?" A tall shadow of a man standing at the back of the room with only it's white teeth visible on display.
"Who are you? What is this place? How did I get here? Why am I trapped in here? Did you have something to do with it?" I asked. The shadow man sighs.
"So many questions. The only thing I can say is that I'm your friend Alissa." His mischievous smile on display again.
"How do you know my name?"
"I have known you for a long time."
"No, that doesn't seem right, I was for a fact in the other side of this mirror a moment ago. I know, I can feel it. Before I, before I woke up here." I scratch my head in confusion. "Is this a dream?"
"We been doing this dance for quite some time now." He stated in disappointment.
"Wait, what? How is it that we been doing this for quite some time now? I just got here?" I say somehow even doubting my self now.
There's a long pause before he speaks again. Like he was choosing carefully every word he was about to say.
"I may know how to get you out of here." The way he talked was confusing, but if he knew the way out, I don't got many options.
"Why help me?" I ask doubtful.
"We have a deal." Looking at the shape of his hand like he didn't care.
"What deal?"
"I can't say." He said shrugging.
"Okay... weird, So tell me, how do I get out?"
"I will offer you a deal, either stay with me here for eternity or you gotta play a game." I shift uncomfortable.
"I have the suspicion I have always picked this game of yours." He shrugged.
"I'm not allowed to answer anything too specific, this won't work if I do. Nothing that could potentially influenced you to make any sort of decision."
"Lucky guess, but I feel like I have played this game before and never won. Is that why don't remember what happened before I got here?" He just shrugged again and didn't even bother to try to answer my questions
"Right, no specific answer, okay I get it." I sigh. "So what game am I supposed to play?"
"Hide and seek." He answered grinning mischievously in an unsettling way.
