Chapter 1- Boredom Brings Us to New Extremes
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Most would call this boredom. But me, I call it hell” My sister looked at me, and chuckled at my pose, I was laying upside down on the couch, trying to stave off the boredom.
“Angelina you’re so silly!” Grinning at her I flashed her a peace sign. I was a bit goofy, but... Texas... “But you know I’ll never be as crazy as Texas when she’s bored!” Thinking back on the rare moment Texas was bored I shivered. Trust me when I say that what happens in Texas, stays in Texas.
Shutting her book, L.P. stood up and motioned me closer. I grinned at her and flipped off the couch, scuttling to her side. Amy looked around seeming rather paranoid, before whispering in my ear.
“Do you know what today is?” Shaking my head I motioned for her to continue.
“Well... I don’t know if I can tell you.”she whispered. I paused a sec, before that went through my head. Taking her shoulders I started deep into her hazel green irises.
“Enough with the suspense woman! I don’t know if I can take it any longer!” Clutching my heart I feigned fainting. She smirked at me and then motioned me to come close again. I swear, she’s going to be the end of me.
“Well today...” I glared at her in warning and Amy smiled back with a devious grin. “...Is a world meeting.” She whispered this last part, as if saying it louder would trigger hidden bombs.
“And...?” What does she mean? So what its a world meeting day? All it means is that America is going to be gone longer than usual. Sighing, Amy face palmed.
“Am I going to have to spell it out to you? It means that other countries will be here because the meeting is in D.C.” Again, question marks floated above my head. What does a meeting have to do with today anyway? States usually don’t go to meetings like that, mostly because we’re too lazy and we aren't required to go anyway.
“I swear Angelina you’re so dense!” She chuckled.
“So what?” I enjoyed leading my sister on like this. “It means that we can see Canada and those guys too right?”
“Let’s go crash it.” L.P. said with a evil twinkle in her eyes. “Al says they never get anything done right?” She stood from her chair dragging me up with her. We locked eyes.
“I call the BB pistol!" I hollered running off.
“I wanted the hockey stick anyway!” She shouted running past me and into her room. I smiled as I grabbed my BB pistol, a gift from America when I was younger. Ahh, the beautiful chaos I've caused with that in the olden days.
Anyways back to the future! By back to the future I mean, I was brought back to the present painfully when I stubbed my toe on the dresser. Groaning in pain I changed into some black jeans and threw on a red and black plaid shirt and a black vest. Grabbing some cow boy boots I slipped them on trying to be cool and balance on one foot but failing and toppling over.
I heard L.P. knocking on my door. “Hurry up!” she shouted. Jeez and to think she was the patient one. I opened the door and saw her standing there, stick in hand. Looking at her I was glad she got into character wearing some fabulous Red Wings apparel and some cool looking hockey skate boots.
"You're looking awesome today Amy." I said grinning. She flashed a quick peace sign, before gesturing at me with urgency.
"Not too bad yourself. Now let's go! In case you forgot, we are on a time limit if we want to get their early." I grinned and followed her as we ran to the garage. I knew what she was going to pick before she yelled it to the high heavens.
