Chapter 2

Kelsey's POV

As soon as we got out of the car, I could hear Kendall's voice booming across the school field.

"Kels, Chlo, Liz, over here!" Kendall screamed for us from the other side of the field.

We walked towards him laughing. Kendall's one of us. By one of us it doesn't mean he's a sissy. He's might be gay but he sure as hell is a girl's best friend. Paul was already getting up to give Chloe a 748936819263792929 second long kiss. If you're wondering who Paul is, Paul Jones is Chloe's boyfriend. Liz on the other hand walked over to Sophie, her tomboyish girlfriend. The thing about Liz is she flirts like crazy and she changes into someone else when with boys. Her girlfriend's an asshole and she's an attention seeker. Idk who's more perfect for who. We all sat together under the tree and just chatted happily. I looked at my friends and they all seem so happy together. Everyone's happy having each other while I'm here alone waiting for a miracle to happen. Sometimes I just thank god for giving me such great friends.

In the middle of my thoughts, something happened. Definitely not a miracle, but someone appeared. Layton came and sit with us pretending like nothing ever happened. Flashback ; When I found out Layton was cheating on me, I could only cry myself to sleep every night. Soon my friends found out what happened and Kendall beat Layton up real bad. Since then Kendall and Paul has warned Layton to never come near us ever again.

Back to the what was happening. Layton sat next to me and had his arm around me. Subconsciously, I slapped his arm off and my friends were literally shooting dagger stares at him. He tried to talk me into his stupid 'plan' for tonight and I found just the right thing to embarrass him.

With that I asked, "Hey Layton, does River know you slept over at Alice's last night?"

With that question leaving my mouth, Layton stiffened and left us immediately.

"Did we hear wrong or was that douchebag over at Alice's last night?" Chloe asked me while the others looked amused.

"Yeah, that's right. I saw that asshole leaving her apartment this morning," I told them.

The bell rung and it was time for us to go to class. I had history class first with Chloe. On our way to class, we had to go pass the hallways. This is what I dread every single morning. I had to walk through the hallways, bump into the bad boys of Seafield Cross High ; James Brighton, Kyle Heights, Corey Tren and River Peyton. All of them hates me because River hates me and when they hate me it means the whole school hates me because they're the most popular and most wanted guys in school. I walked by Chloe with my head hung down low. Then the moment I've been dreading finally comes.

I bumped into the chest of someone taller and stronger than me. I looked up to see River glaring at me. Chloe was forced to leave. He then grabbed me by my neck and slammed me against the lockers. I go through all his shit every morning with his useless friends just looking at him beat me up but I wasn't going to let that happen to me today. The minute he pushed me against the lockers ready to punch me, I said, "it's no surprise if your girlfriend cheats on you because looks like you've already been cheated on."

He looked at me with his eyes burning into mine. "What the fuck are you exactly talking about?" he growls at me and slaps me hard.

"Here's a tip. I saw Layton leaving your girlfriend's place this morning. Why not go ask your sweet babygirl for more details on what exactly happened," I replied coolly while my eyes were already stinging.

While River was caught up with his thoughts, I quickly slipped away. I ran to the toilet without even realizing my tears were falling. I looked at myself in the mirror and there was an evident red mark on my cheek, maybe more like a scratch. I wiped my tears, reapplied my powder and left for class quickly. I took my seat beside Chloe. About five minutes later, the door opened and James and Corey came in and took the seats at the back of the class. The two hours went by like 20 hours. During lunch break, I heard the sound of tables being overturned. I saw River and Layton arguing while Alice was trying to stop them. They started punching each other and things got really ugly.

Alice saw me staring and she came over to me saying, "hey bitch are you happy now that they're punching each other?"

With that she grabbed me by my hair and started hitting me in some very weird moves. Chloe, being my best friend pulled Alice by her hair and punched her hard right at her nose. Kendall helped me up and brought me out of there. As lunch break was already over, I rushed to my next class and suffered for another two hours of class. I drove back home quickly after class.

Feeling really tired, I decided to take a nap. I was awaken by the sound of my phone ringing. It was Chloe calling. "Hello?" I answered sleepily.

"OH MY GOD KELSEY! Do you know how worried we were? You just left without telling. Liz and I are coming over in five," with that she hung up.

I got myself out of bed and went downstairs to get the door. Chloe and Liz rushed in like a tsunami. Okay not tsunami, maybe something smaller like a waterfall.

"Oh my god Kels you won't believe what happened earlier just now. I heard River, Layton and Alice got sent to the principal's office," Liz told me immediately.

Chloe continued, "yeah Kels they did and Layton got expelled because he punched Mr Vinvent when he tried to stop the fight. He's leaving Los Angeles by the end of this week. Alice is leaving with him because River dumped her and she decided to go with Layton. River got expelled too because he was causing too much trouble and ruining the school's reputation. River's parents are sending him to a boarding school in London."

With that, I felt kind of relieved I won't have to see them anymore.

I felt kind of depressed so Chloe, Liz and I had a drink. Perhaps we had a few shots too many. We got drunk and they ended up sleeping over at mine.
