Well, I got through the rest of my boring week somehow. The snow cleared up by Wednesday, so we got to go to school. I was sitting in my room with Holly on Saturday.

“Finally! That week took forever!” Holly said.

A shirt went through the air and nearly hit me in the face.

 “Hey, watch it!” I said.

“Sorry.” She said laughing.

“This is perfect!” She said holding up a sheath, mint green button down shirt.

“Yeah, I forgot I had that.” I said hanging upside down off of my bed, my hair going in my face. “I would have to wear a tank top, though.”

“Hmmm.” Holly thought aloud.

“Holly!” I said, throwing a pillow at her.

We both started laughing. I looked at Holly.

“Kidding…kidding!” She said.

She was wearing an orange t-shirt with a brown belt around the waist, skinny jeans, and brown boots. Her blonde curls framed her face. She looked like a model.

“Take a picture, it will last longer.” Holly exclaimed.

“Fine.” I said, as I put up my hands and pretended to take a picture.

I was getting a head rush from being upside down, so I sat up.

“Go get dressed!” Holly told me, looking at the blue dress, and black heels I had on at the moment.

It was not an outfit you went to the mall in. I took my clothes off of my bed, and took the shirt from her. I went into the bathroom and put on my skinny jeans, socks, black boots, mint tank top, and the sheath button up mint green shirt. I had curled my hair earlier, like Holly did, so it was already done.

“My car or yours?” I asked as I walked out of the bathroom.

“Yours.” Holly sighed. “Mine is getting tuned. I miss it so much.”

“I can relate to that.” I said.

“Once, I had to get my tires rotated, and I was so sad that whole day.”

We both started laughing.

“Come on.” I said as I led her down the stairs. “Bye mom, Holly and I are going to the mall.” I called.

“Bye.” My mom said as she came out of the kitchen. “Hi, Holly.”

“Hey mom!” Holly said.

We have known each other for four years, so we called one another’s parents ‘mom’ and ‘dad.’

“Be safe, and try and be home before midnight, Carmen.” My mom called after me before I walked out the door.

 “I will.” I called back.

Holly and I walked into the garage, where my jeep was. We got in, and I clicked the button that opened the garage door. I put it in drive and pulled out.

When we got out of the garage, and by our fence, I called out, “bye, dad.”

My dad was working in his shop. “Bye, Carmen!” he called back.

His shop was way out by the other side of the fence, so I was surprised he heard me. I pulled out of our driveway, and headed for the mall.

“Hey Holly, could you send a text to Adam for me?” I asked, focusing on the road.
