a/n : before i start, yes, every one-shot will have a bird joke/pun [ manga spoilers for endeavors eye- ]

you stood behind the corner of a building anxiously as you watched fighting scene in front of you, hawks was fighting one of the powerful nomues with endeavor. you were afraid they'll get hurt badly so you were there in case if something happening.

as you stood and watched, endeavors scream was heard as his eye got scratched by the nomue. that was when you striked out towards him, of course he burned the thing alive until it didn't became ashes.

while you came there, you started to work your quirk up really fast for endeavors eye, as you started healing his eye as much as possible, but you weren't a doctor so he had to be placed into hospital.

recovery girl took really good care of him, so you and hawks could go home. you were still little worried for endeavor as he did indeed had a really deep scratch on his eye down his chin.

hawks just shrugged "don't worry your little head over him, sure it looks bad, but he saw better days." said hawks in sarcastic way, but you were to angry at them, mostly him because, like he said, endeavor seen the better day, but he didn't.

so he could have gotten hurt as well and that thought scared "you idiot, don't forget that you were there too!.." you shouted at him, slapping him a bit behind his head.

he sighed "welp, here we go again..." as he muttered, you started explaining as why he should have not been there, in how many ways he could have gotten hurt, and all that stuff that most of the time he would zoned out from.

"--- are you even listening?!.." you asked, hawks head snapped towards you really quick "uh, yeah, of course i'll be more careful next time, i promise!" he said with a big smile, and once again got slapped on the back of his head.

"that wasn't a thing what i was saying at all, at least be honest and say you just simply got into your thought, it's not that hard..." you said crossing your arms as he opened a door to an shared apartman.

"if i would be honest, i would be dead by now..." he once again, muttered to himself, hoping for you to not hear it "--- what was that?" you asked getting little closer to hear him out.

he jumped a bit at the sudden move "what, i didn't say anything, my dove?!" he said, sheepishly putting a hand behind his neck with a goofy smile. you looked at him still mad "jeez, you really are an troublesome chicken." you said, opening a fridge to find something to eat.

as you bend over a little to look under shelves, hawks slapped your ass, you yelped at the sudden action and looked over at him you "i guess you can say that it takes toucan for tango."
