Chloe knew headmistresses story when no one else did,she said her story was 'Complicated' she was really friendly even when we barely knew eachother...weird.
And she knew I was being blackmailed...no one else knew that besides Viana,Eun,Ty,and of course Belladonna.
8 minutes later we all sit in Viana's large apartment on couches,or the floor.I turn my head down to the floor and watch Belladonna trying to talk to Layla who snubs her with an odd look in her eyes:Guilt?
Ty grips my hand reassuringly and I smile at him.Viana sighs "So,Lovely do you know why on earth Chloe would do this?"
I shake my head."Not a clue." its a good thing we found out when we did or we would have blown up an island of innocents.
Layla stands up in her black dress given to her by Viana:She still refuses to wear the rebel clothing.
"Ever since you left,all Chloe had been talking about was how lucky you were to atleast have a family..hers kind of sold her at birth." I gasp "Thats sick."
Layla nods "Yeah...but I guess her family really needed the money since she had a sister who was only 10 months older."
10 months older....
FLASHBACK,9 YEARS BEFORE LOVELY WAS SOLD:AGE:6
I stumble around our tiny cramped house and watch as Mommy puts my new baby brother to bed."He's gunna' get big." I coo touching his cheek.My mommy nods "He certainly is.."
Just then daddy barges in the house "Lovely go to your room and play." I frown "But daddy-" he gestures to the staircase and I sigh sitting down on my bedroom floor.
Eventually my curiosity gets the best of me and I peek downstairs "The young one is fine.." whispers Daddy's voice.
My mommy cries "I'm sorry about the affair." they went to a fair without me?
"Apparently she's not going to become a labrat...they're making her one of those damsels." my mommy sighs in relief "Thats good..I guess.We did what we had to do."
END OF FLASHBACK
"Wait...she was 10 months older...her sister?" I ask.Layla nods."I overheard my parents talking once when I was little about 'The Young One' and how she was going to become a damsel..."
Viana shifts uncomftrobly in her chair."You don't think.."
I turn to face her "I know..."
Chloe is my half-sister.
