Until we meet again

Chapter I

      Joseph was momentarily blinded by the light before regaining back his vision. Where was he? Shouldn't he be dead? Dio did drink his blood. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw a male walking up to him. He was in his early twenties, his hair coloured a beautiful shade of blonde. As he got closer, he could finally make out his face. "Caesar...?" He whispered. It was as if Joseph was worried that any louder of a sound would cause him to disappear and he'd lose him again. His eyes welled up with tears, threatening to spill at the sight of his friend. His dead friend.    Caesar was now face to face with him. He wrapped his arms around him in a hug. "Long time no see, Jojo." With those words, Joseph's tears came pouring out. Caesar was here. He was actually here. He returned his hug while sobbing like a baby. "Mama Mia! Joseph! You're crying like a baby!" Caesar pulled back to avoid Joseph's salty crocodile tears. He wiped them away and apologized. "Sorry, Caesar-Chan! I just missed you!" The corners of Joseph's lips lifted up to form a cheeky grin whilst Caesar wore an amused smile. He hasn't changed after all these years.

   Caesar opened his mouth, about to say something when he was interrupted by a shout. "Mr.Joestar!" A familiar voice. "Mr.Joestar!" There it was again. A teenage man adorning a green uniform ran to the duo. Joseph's face morphed into one of shock. Kakyoin stopped beside Caesar, panting. "Mr.Joestar! You got my message and passed it to Jotaro, right? Dio's stand, The World, can s-" "Stop time," Joseph finished. Joseph wore a heart-warning smile. "Thank you, Kakyoin. Thanks to you we could defeat Dio." Kakyoin smiled at those words. "I'm just glad that we could defeat Dio." Caesar tapped Joseph on the shoulder, a jealous look adorning his face. "You've got such good friends, Jojo. I'm jealous. Ever since he came here, Kakyoin wouldn't stop hyperventilating and worrying about you and Jotaro." Joseph then wore a shit-eating grin and commented, "Well, you were the first one." Caesar's face turned into the shade of a tomato as he turned to the side in a futile attempt to hide it. 

   Joseph snickered at his friend's reaction. He still hasn't changed either. Once again, another familiar voice rang. "Mr.Joestar!" Out came the one and only, Avdol. "Avdol! It's so good to see you again!" Joseph greeted. "Right back at you! Since I heard you were here, I decided to come and see you again for one last time." Wait, one last time? Wouldn't he be here from now on since he was dead? Caesar started speaking again,"That brings me to what I've been trying to say. Joseph, you should go back. Continue living." Joseph retaliated,"Wait, what! What the hell! I'm already dead! Not to mention, I just want some peace. I already fought the Pillar Men and Dio. I just want to rest in peace now." Caesar tilted his head down at the mention of the Pillar Men. "I understand what you mean, Joseph. But just think about your daughter and your grandson. Jotaro is trying to bring you back as we speak! Imagine if he lost you..." Caesar didn't need to finish his sentence for Joseph to get the point. Jotaro was probably devastated enough from losing three of his friends, he probably couldn't bare one of more loss. "All right, I'll go." With those words and a heavy heart, he bid Avdol and Kakyoin farewell, both wishing each other well. He then enveloped Caesar in one last hug. "It was good seeing you again, Caesar. I'm going to miss you." He leaned even more forward until he was right in front of his ear and whispered, "I love you." Caesar smiles at those words. "I love you too." They let go of each other. Joseph started fading away, soon to be back in his body. Kakyoin and Avdol continued screaming farewells to Joseph while he waved. Right before Joseph was gone, Caesar said, "Ciao, Joseph! Until we meet again!" With that, he was gone."

   After pulling a prank in Jotaro and almost getting pummeled by Star Platinum, Joseph thought back to what Caesar said to him. Until we meet again. Joseph clung onto those words. Until we meet again, Caesar. He thought. Until we meet again.
