Help from unexpected

I am so sorry for not updating for such a long time! I am actually losing motivation on continuing this story but after a second thought I decided to persevere on. I will try to have regular updates do comment if you have any thoughts about this story! Disclaimer:  picture do not belong to me!

Third person pov:

Over the past two weeks after the challenged was made between Sana and Shachi, Sana has been training very hard with Penguin so that she can prove that she is no burden or weakling like what Shachi had been calling her. Within these two weeks, Sana can actually feel some slight changes. She realised that she does not have to entirely change her fighting style just that she have to gain more experience. Due to her previous experiences with fighting beasts she developed great power,speed and instinct and she with experiences of sparring with penguin, She is now able land kicks and punches on penguin easily. A huge difference when she first started not even being able to throw a punch on him .

However, training led to injuries which meant that Sana has been a frequent visitor to the Law's infirmary. Although throughout the whole time Law tend to her injuries, not much words was exchanged and the silence was an awkward one. Sana hate to admit it but she very much enjoy the company of Law as for some weird reason she felt safe and calm around him.

Every time she visit Law in the infirmary with a new set of injuries, Law would just have her sit on the chair in front of him and carefully tend to them. She thought that Law would never be the type that will ever be the definition of gentle but his actions proves otherwise. The way he tends to her injuries were soft and comforting making the pain way less then it should be.

Sana will always take the chance to observe how Law would gently apply antibacterial cream on her wounds or how he would softly wrap the bandages around her wounds. Soon, the trip to the infirmary actually became one of her favourite times as she gets to see a side of Law that she will never see outside the infirmary as she knows that Law would only be like this in the infirmary.

Although most people would say that he is a cold-blooded, sadistic doctor which Sana will not disagree to, but in the eyes of Sana when Law tend to her injuries, she saw nothing but a kind and sincere doctor under the facade of a cold-blooded and sadistic doctor. Not that Law was really that physically kind and sincere but just his actions made Sana saw right through him. And that spiked the desire of Sana to get to know this person more.

Sana pov:

Another two more weeks left before the duel I need to start training even harder so that I will not lose to Shachi that ass. I didn't know that all these training that Penguin gave to me was actually pretty tough, although he looks like the gentle type.

Over the past two weeks, thanks to those training I got stronger and thanks to them I was able to see a slightly different Law. Not that I am totally head over heels for him or did I developed a major crush on him just that I am purely curious about his real personality, and what lies under the facade he tries to maintain everyday.

Other than that, in those two weeks I started to warm up towards Penguin. Penguin being my trainer spending the most time with me and with the rest of the crew who seems to pay no attention to my presence, ignoring me. Well, I don't blame them, if it is me I too will not warm up to a stranger so soon. It slowly caused me and Penguin to become close enought to the extend whereby I could call him a friend. Since he is the only one that will willingly have conversations with me which never fails to make me laugh.

As for Shachi, every time he passes me or notice me he will either glare at me or give an unwanted comment, while I will just ignore him.

I walk to the training room expecting to see Penguin but there was no one. Remembering the day before he told me that he will not be free today since he is needed to repair some spoiled parts of the submarine, I walk in and decided to do some warm ups before starting to train by myself.

"Why isn't Penguin with you today?"

An unexpected voice questioned while I was doing sit ups. After regaining my composure from the small shock, I sat up and replied.

"Captain, Penguin is not free today since he is needed to repair some spoiled parts of the submarine."

"Hmm.. So you are training alone?"

"Yes captain."

"Since you are training alone why not spar with me? Since I am currently very bored."

"Err.. Okay captain"

What is he playing at. His facial expression doesn't show that he is bored.. Is he trying to test me?

"Are you ready?" He asked while putting down his nodachi on one side.

"Yes captain." I replied while taking my stance.

Not wasting a second, I charged towards Law preparing to throw a punch at him. He dodged it with ease and gave me a punch on the stomach causing me to lose my balance. I got back up in attempt to kick him but once again it was useless as he dodged it again.

After severely attempts to hit him, it was all useless since he was able to dodge it all with ease. And everytime he dodged my attack he would not fail to give me his infamous smirk. As if he is mocking me on how I can't even land a hit on him, this made me even more pissed and I started to attack more aggressively without much thoughts.

Why can't I land a hit on him.. With Penguin I was at least able to hit him a few times. Why is it that with him I can't even touch him. Is our ability that far apart?!

Although only 10 minutes have passed, I am already sweating and panting. I wipe my sweat from my face while taking a breather. Shit, I am already starting to feel tired while he is still as good as new!

"If you are not going to attack then I am" After saying that, Law charged towards me preparing to punch me.

On instinct, I closed my eyes and blocked my face with my hand. What follows was a gust of light wind that was felt on my hands. I slowly open up my eyes to see a smirking Law right in front of my face. Too close! That made me jumped back in shock causing me to fall while faintly blushing.

"Although you have the power and speed, and your instance is good, you have some problems. First, you attack without thinking. Humans and beast are different. Second, observe your enemy more. Lastly, never close your eyes in front of your enemy, That's all." Law said while walking out of the room after picking up his nodachi leaving me still siting on the floor.

"Ahh.. Hai captain! Thanking for sparing with me." I said to him while getting up.

I should take what he said into account and try to improve. But that was surprising, who knew that he would even spare some time to spar with me. So that's how he looks like when he smrik huh..
