The lady in the white dress, I'd forgotten her name, kept on bringing me cookies and milk. Many times I've tried to ask her what happened but she refused to answer me. All she kept saying was rest, eat, drink, rest and which annoyed me too the bone. I didn't know where my parents or my sister was.
I saw the ladies in the white dresses running around in circles. Whether they were the same people or different ones I did not know. The room, in which I was in was small and compact. There were no windows and the walls were a bland shade of beige. The bed I was lying on was old and the sheets were yellow, though they seemed to have been white. I've seen these rooms on t.v. when watching with my mother. I was in a hospital, I should of guessed by the smell but there was no smell.
For the first time since I woke up I put the cookie to my lips, right under my nose. 'sniff, sniff', huh, they don't smell like anything. I take the sheets to my nose and nothing. The nurse stared at me. She comes up to me quietly, and gently puts her hand on my shoulder. I flinch. "Honey" she says sweetly "the accident caused you to lose your scent and part of your vision". No wonder everything was blurry. Before I could open my mouth to say anything she exited the room. What happened? What was the so called accident?
I got up from the ragged hospital bed and dragged myself to the door. My hand wander aimlessly over the door till I found the knob. It was freezing cold as if someone had froze it. My hand jerked away, and I pulled my sleeve over my hand to open the door again. I stepped out and felt the breeze hit my face. Right, left? Which way do I go? The hallways all looked the same, white, bland, with doors everywhere. I suddenly saw the lady in the white and ran towards her.
