Their Royal Guards ( A Neptunia fanfic) --- Re:Write

Prologue

Before the current era of the goddesses were born, the four nations were led by 4 ancient goddesses of the same name, which are :

The CPU of Leanbox, Green Heart.

The CPU of Lowee, White Heart.

The CPU of Lastation, Black Heart.

The CPU of Planeptune, Purple Heart.

The current CPU differed from their ancestor's. The previous CPUs didn't have never had the concept of "human" forms nor CPU candidates. Their forms were similar to this generation, but have some differences.

All 4 led their respective nations, but differ from what is now, they had their own personal guards who they have given a core that could utiliza the shares of respective nations. They were known as "Royal Guards".

These guards were picked to helo to lead the other soldiers of the nation and help the CPUs to watch over the nation when the goddesses personally had to deal with a threat. They were personally picked by each of the goddessesd given the title "Royal Guard" . The four guards were :

The Royal Guard of Planeptune, Gen
The Royal Guard of Lastation, Flam
The Royal Guard of Lowee, Kald
The Royal Guard of Leanbox, Rafa

All the Royal Guards had affinity to a certain element, but some have higher affinities towards their own elements than others. In addition to their respective capabilities, they could utilize the shares, enhancing their physical capabilities and give them the capabilities of flight, but unlike the goddesses, after they could only use this once - twice per day (depending on the individual) before they were exhausted

The 4 guards were childhood friends and had trained under on mentor who had guided them, but after their masters death on the hands of the corrupted monsters, they decided to go on their separate ways, exploring the world and grow stronger to survive for the coming years. After the ceremony of announcing the established Royal Guards, they had a short reunion for the goddesses had explain to them of the reason the "royal guards" were needed was because of an awakening threat who named itself as the "deity of calamity".

As the deity awakens, the monsters the roamed around were more rampant and reports of injuries from adventurers and travelers were increasing day by day. In addition, the injured ones who had encounted the rampant monsters, reported the monsters were wild, yet it felt as if they were coordinated and they were emitting a dread like feeling. The ones who were attacked were lucky enough to just escape with injuries, some had become monsters themselves, losing their own minds and attacking anyone in the area. Only ones with a high affinity of healing magic and medical knowledge could free them from the corruption, but even then, it could take several months or years, some weren't lucky enough to even survive. A cure was being invented, but with the limited technology that they had, all led to a dead end. The CPUs could resist the effect and could recover after being attacked by a corrupted beast, so to the royal guards.

The CPUs had tasked their respective citizens to return to their respective nations and would not be allowed out until the number of monsters could be handled.

Seeing the army of monsters would never end until they defeat the final boss, they, with their royal guards decided to push forward until they reached it, the self-procalimed deity of calamity.

The deity of calamity was what it calls itself as. Even though it looked humanoid, Legends told that it was born from the souls of the evil souls from the Gamindustri graveyard. Their anger, sadness, and hatred had manifested itself becoming the beist. Its desires was to destroy or even corrupt the gamindustri itself, to inflict pain to others.

In the Gamindustri Graveyard, the battle between the Deity of Calamity and the 4 goddesses (with their respective guards) were going about.

"Surrender Deity of Calamity! It's over!", the goddess with the purple hair said. Beside her were the other goddess and in front of each goddesses were their respective personal royal guards.
