This can't be happening! After realizing that I was taken back in time to 1945, I've been wondering aimlessly in the village. Many people were looking at me as if I was a madman. Hopefully, I wasn't and that all of this was just an act.
It's been hours and I've been going to every person, asking if they saw an old aged woman that had trouble walking. Since her legs might be crippled, she wouldn't have gone far.
I hope.
Everything felt so familiar but I haven't had a single memory going here. It's as if... I only know what this place it but not exactly. "Madam, have you seen a--"
"You're the young maiden that has been circling this town. We've heard the news but it really looks like you need mental help."
"Mental help?! No! I know I don't live at this century. I live in 2020 and I've been brought here!" I protested but only she could do was grab a tight hold at her young boy.
She looks at my back and screams. "Guards!" She shouted and the guards ran fast as speed as light to where I was. I dropped my bag purposely and thought of leaving it there.
I ran and ran until more than 7 guards are after me. Circling the village as I push past villagers and almost did scrape my thigh by a tree branch since I have been running past the thorny trees.
I hid at one big tree behind big rocks, hoping that they wouldn't notice me. I sat there, panting, as I heard the cracking of fallen twigs and dried up leaves make a sound closer and closer to where I was hiding.
I prayed hard that I wouldn't accidentally feel like I need to cough or step on a small twig. None of them were shouting but I know that someone was there, silently feeling the environment.
I heard a click of the gun and covered my mouth out of fear. "It's clear here." I heard a teenage boy shout maybe at a far distance in the woods. I, then, heard something drop before a few steps were made and stopped right behind were I was hiding.
"You can come out now." I heard the teenage boy said. I was still uncertain if I should but I know that he was talking to me. "It's just me."
But I didn't leave my place until he was the one who popped out and I almost screamed but he covered my mouth instantly and put a finger on his lips, shushing me.
"I'm Romeo. I'm a guard at the kingdom, but you can trust me. What's your name?" He asked.
He was this good-looking, obedient-type, castle guard. He had this clean military cut with white complexion and a pair of cute deep dimples. He was about 6'0 by height and he was buff.
He reminded me of someone. Like John. Only that it looked like John when he was younger but that wouldn't make sense since he said his name was just Romeo.
"J-juliet." I managed to say. I faked my name and that was the first to pop up on my mind.
His smile widened before he held out his hand. "Coincidence." He said as I placed my dirty hand on his but he didn't seem to matter since he squeezed it tighter. His dimples popped out as if someone had punched a pin on his cheek.
"Listen, Juliet. We have to go to the castle now. They won't do anything to you or send you to the dungeon, I assure you that but please, trust me." He said. A small piece of me trusted him and I immediately chose to salute that piece of me and nod my head at him.
He looked back and led me to his gun. He wore it before he tightly intertwined my hand with his and we were on the move.
We weren't that far away from the village coming from the forest so it was easy to leave. No one was outside since they announced that no one should be seen outside or will experience punishment (which Romeo said was just a trick they use to let the villagers follow them).
