After dinner, all of us talked for a bit, then they proceeded to their rooms. I was assigned with the dishes tonight. And after washing and drying it, I placed them on the shelf. I was wiping my hands when Tokyo entered the room.
She grabbed a glass and drank some water. I looked at her and I saw her smiling over the glass, and looked at me straight in the eyes while she was drinking. I turned to her and was confused as to why she was smiling. I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "What?" I asked.
She placed down the glass on the counter and walked towards me, and now she was smirking. And when she was a meter far from me she stopped and spoke,
"So you called Berlin, Daddy, huh?"
>>>
Well. Shit.
"W-w-w-what are you talking about, Tokyo?" I stuttered. My eyes rapidly blinking, and I looked at her hoping she'll laugh and say she was just kidding.
Fuck, this is so embarrassing.
Tokyo tilted her head and chuckled. She neared me and raised my chin with her finger, with that devious look on her pretty face. "Oh, really? Well, from what I heard earlier you promised your daddy that you won't smoke anymore. Isn't that right?"
I removed my head from her finger and groaned. Now I'm sure that she really did hear our talk, there's no going out now.
"Who is he to you? Because I'm definitely sure both of you did not just meet here." Tokyo added.
"Well, uhm, basically I'm his only friend here, you know. He's not that talkative and friendly with everyone here, but he does talk to me sometimes." I lied. Hoping Tokyo would believe it. But instead, she narrowed her eyes at me.
"And that daddy thing... it's what I call him sometimes. It's his nickname because his name is... Daddild-...dilo...Daddilo!" I blurted out. Trying to convince her more.
I'm such a bad liar.
"Oh, so now he told you his name? So, he's name is Daddilo. I thought we weren't allowed to share our real names." she replied. Her smirk growing bigger. Challenging me.
"No! He didn't tell me. I mean-" I rambled, but I wasn't able to finish my sentence.
"There's no point lying to me, Seoul. I heard it all. I was sitting next to you. I heard you both whispering to each other and I eavesdropped too on the kitchen. I'm sorry about that, though." She said.
I let out a big sigh. Tokyo is my friend. I don't think that she would run around and gossip about this. "Well, I guess I don't have a choice but to tell you," I said, looking her in the eye. "We're friends for years now, and I guess we're close and we care about each other."
"Oh yeah, I can see that, with how he reacted when he found out you were smoking. And I can't believe I'm saying this but I ship you guys." Tokyo teases me with a wide grin on her face.
I laughed at her statement. "Nah, we're just friends, okay? And I also ship you and Rio. Go Team TokRio!" I returned her teasing, bumping my fist up in the air, and she scoffed when she heard the ship name I made for them.
"Shut up. You're lucky I can't think of a ship name for the two of you." she said.
I was already finished with the dishes. So, I turned off the kitchen lights. Tokyo and I proceeded to the stairs and head to our rooms.
We were both at the end of the stairs when she suddenly stopped and faced me.
"Seoul, remember, it all starts as friends." she gave me a wink before walking to her room, leaving me astonished.
