End of Summer Vacation

It was a cool and sunny monday morning. Beams of sunlight went through a window and bathed the room with warm light. A girl was sleeping in her bed, comfortably, very, very, comfortably. Despite the time, she was still in a deep sleep and was sleeping like a child who passed out while in a tantrum because of exhaustion.

Suddenly, the room was filled with an annoying sound, breaking the silence of the room.

~Ring Ring Ring~

-Chaeyoung's POV-

"Oh, Taemin is so handso-"

~A loud ringing noise cutoff my dream short~

I groaned out of frustration, went to the side of the bed where the alarm was on and shut the damn thing off. 6:31 AM, the clock displayed.

I took off the blankets and blankly stared at the ceiling for a solid 5 minutes.

"First day of school and I don't want to get up. I'm still tired, I'll sleep for 5 more minutes." I said while closing my eyes.

Then my mind kept reminding me of the countless times that I said that I will sleep for 5 more minutes and waking up more than an hour later. But who cares right?

~Ring Ring Ring~

I groaned and shut the alarm off.

7:30 AM

"Shit." I whispered to myself.

I quickly got up, picked some random clothes in the closet and went to the shower. Got out 8 minutes later, put on my jeans and went to the kitchen while putting my shirt on. I boiled some water and got a cup of ramen and quickly dried my hair while waiting. I put the water on the ramen, grabbed my bag and proceeded to walk to school while eating.

Luckily, my dorm was just a 10 minute walk from school and I live alone since my home was a bit far from school and it would be a pain for my dad to drop me off every morning and it would be perfect for situations like these.

~5 minutes later~

I was near the school's main entrance when I heard the bell rang, signaling that class starts in 5 minutes. I bolted. While running, I forgot where my classroom was. I quickly took my bag, took a piece of paper and looked for my classroom.

2nd floor, Section B

I immediatly ran back the hallway and ran up the flight of stairs and got to the classroom. I looked through the window and there was no sign of a teacher and I went inside panting.

"Ayy, Chaeyoung's here!"

"Chaeyoung, hi!"

"Hi, Chaeyoung, you look smaller"

My classmates greeted me here and there because we have never seen each other for a couple of months. I greeted them back and went to my seat.

"First day of school and you're 2 minutes from being late. You're definitely one of a kind Son Chaeyoung." A familiar husky voice said to me.

I looked up and saw that it was Jeongyeon. I jumped from my seat and hugged her tightly.

"Jeongyeonieeeee, I missed youuuu." I said while cuddling her while struggling to ruffle her hair.

"I c-cant b-breathe."

"Oh, mianhae." I released from the hug.

"Yah! We just met yesterday and you acted like you never saw me in forever!" Jeongyeon's voice raised.

Me and Jeongyeon have been friends since 2nd Grade. She's like the sibling-parent type of friend and we care for each other since then.

"Calm down, Yoo Jeongyeon, she just missed you and meeting someone in the first day of school is a bit different even if you keep seeing each other everyday." Sana said while walking up to us both.
