Nothing Special (Stereo Kicks/Reece Bibby/New Hope Club)

Smile.

As soon as the seats started to fill up, I became so nervous. I thought of what Reece had said and smiled. I waited backstage with Reece and Tia, playing on my guitar in hope I wouldn't forget the words or the chords on the guitar. "Don't be nervous" Someone said from behind me. I whipped my head around to see who it was. It was Reece. "I'm no...not nervous" I said trying to convince Reece. "Yes you are, I can see it on your face" He smirked. "Don't be nervous, just do what you did earlier because you were amazing! People will love you, you can sing and play the guitar and your really pretty." He said smiling and looking down at the floor whilst blushing. As Reece spoke those last few words, I smiled like an idiot and blushed so much! "Thank you, I hope people like me" I said smiling to myself.

"Millie your up next" The stage manager said. "Ok thanks" I said grabbing my guitar and drinking some water. "Just breath in and out and everything will be fine" Reece said hugging me. I smiled and Tia said good luck before taking her seat. 1 of 500 out there. I made my way over to the side of the stage with my guitar with Reece following behind."Good luck and don't forget to smile" Reece said embracing me in a quick hug again. "Thank you." I said as I walked on stage.

I adjusted the microphone to my height and put my guitar over my shoulder before introducing myself. "Hi everyone, I'm Millie and I'm 16. The first song I'm going to be singing is Budapest by George Ezra and I hope you like it" I smiled, finally feeling at ease now I was on stage.
Through the song I looked at Reece, he put his thumbs up and smirked at me with lead to me smiling.
I finished the song without messing up on the guitar or without hitting the wrong note and the feeling of performing in front of so many people was amazing, this is definitely what I wanted to do in life, to make people smile when I'm singing.
"The next song I'm singing is Wild Heart by The Vamps, sing along if you know the words" I said gradually becoming more confident"

I sung, everyone stood clapped, cheering and screaming. I was so happy it was unreal. "Thank you so much, have a brilliant night" I said walking off stage, still in shock that this had all happened, I felt like I was on top of the world.
"You were incredible! I told you they would like you" Reece said smirking, showing off.
"Thank you" I said giving Reece a warm hug.
"Your turn to go on stage now." I smirked.

Reece's POV
She was absolutely amazing, but she didn't even know how good she was."Good luck" Millie whispered, I said thanks, grabbed my guitar and was greeted with cheers and screams from teenage girls and boys." Hi guys, as you all probably know I'm Reece and I'm from Stereo Kicks, thank you so much for all your support so far. I'm going to be singing the first song I sang on X factor this is Latch By Disclosure featuring Sam Smith." I said smiling at how unreal this felt, I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I finished my first song and then sung Too Close by Alex Clare. I thanked the crowd and walked off stage to be welcomed with a massive group hug with Millie and Tia.
