A hurricane came in the night, it destroyed everything I had ever known.
This foundation, these platforms, crumbled from beneath me, revealing what I thought were mountains shielding me to be series and series of flat lifeless ground, a lie.
No one was prepared for this hurricane but secretly we all knew it was coming, building up from series of events that burnt holes in hearts but we chose to cover with sand.
We've started to rebuild but we all know there's still a storm, slowly revealing itself in moments where I wish I was blind to the lightening and deaf to the thunder that surely followed.
