Endless Love ("Neiko")

Another Normal Day

Friday, December fourteenth; Naomi's birthday.

Seiko woke up excitedly. Today was Naomi's birthday and she'd been planning something speacial for her one and only, Naomi.

Seiko jumped out of bed and took a quick shower. She then proceeded by throwing on her school clothes, mindful of her injuries. Seiko grabbed her coat and bag and headed for Naomi's house.

Once Seiko had arrived she knocked on the door eagerly. She tried to contain her excitement. Naomi answered the door and just as she was about to say hello Seiko lunged herself at Naomi, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend.

"Happy birthday, Naomi!" Seiko squealed.

Naomi chuckled and hugged Seiko back, speaking softly into her ear, "Thank you, Seiko."

Seiko realeased her grip on Naomi, then spoke, "Just you wait, Naomi! Today will be the best day ever! Wait 'till you see what I have planned!"

Seiko smiled brightly and hopped down to the sidewalk, "Now, c'mon! Let's go!" Seiko said cheerfully.

Naomi walked down the steps on her porch and grabbed ahold of Seiko's hand.

"So, I'm guessing you won't be telling me about this..." Naomi put up air quotes, "...plan of yours?" Naomi asked.

"Nope!" Seiko replied.

Naomi smiled and nudged closer to Seiko in the cold weather. Naomi loved the winter more than anything. It was even better now that she had someone to keep warm; Seiko.

Once they had gotten close to the school they let go of each other's hand without a word. They didn't need Satoshi or anyone else causing them trouble.

The girls met up with Ayumi and the three walked to homeroom together after tossing their jackets in their lockers.

They each sat at their desks. Everything was fine, until Satoshi walked into the room. Naomi kept her gaze locked, looking outside the classroom window. Seiko and Ayumi simultaneously looked at Satoshi coldly.

"What the fuck are you looking at, Shinohara?" Satoshi asked.

"Your ugly face." Seiko replied, happily.

Satoshi walked over to Seiko quickly and grabbed her shirt. Naomi was quick to turn around and get up. Naomi pushed Satoshi away forcefully. Satoshi fell back onto the ground.

"I know what you did, you asshole!" Naomi screamed at Satoshi, her eyes brimming with tears.

Satoshi looked at Seiko angrily, "I told you not to tell anyone..."

Naomi's voice cracked as she spoke, "Yea, well not everything goes your way Satoshi!" Naomi wiped her eyes, "How could you do something like that?!" She screamed.

By now everyone in the classroom was staring at Naomi standing in the middle of the room, Satoshi on the ground.

Satoshi got up and approached Naomi, "And what're you..." Satoshi pointed a finger at Naomi's chest, "...gonna do about it?" Satoshi asked confidently.

Naomi backed away from Satoshi. Naomi pulled her arm back and punched Satoshi's face, her fist making complete contact with his cheek.

At that moment Ms. Yui walked into the room and ran towards Naomi and Satoshi.

"Woah! What's going on here?!" Ms. Yui demanded.

Naomi was crying loudly, while cradling her fist, and Satoshi was holding the left side of his face, eyes screwed shut.
