Yuu’s pov

Running…. at break neck speeds appearing as a blur to humans, 5 other blurs move at the same pace hot on my trail. I leaped from tree to tree, a scroll hidden in my back pocket that carried important information on a rival village. “GET THAT BRAT!” I heard the leader say to his squad as they reached into their pouches tied to their back waist, they pulled out 5 shuriken in each hand and threw them at me, 30 in total shuriken fly through the air at me getting closer and closer by the second. “Crap I’m not gonna make it in time”  I thought as I landed on a tree branch and twist my upper body in a clock wise motion in order to cover any vital areas as the shuriken whizzed past me, some shaving me and others nearly hit vitals. Blood leaks out of my wounds and I grab the bloody area to try and stop the bleeding giving my pursuers enough time to catch up. “You almost escaped us but now there’s nowhere to run….TIME TO DIE!!!” the leader said as he pulled out his katana and lunged at me. THUMP….THUMP…THUMP…. the world around me felt like it was going in slow motion, I couldn’t move my body, I had already lost a lot of blood, my body wouldn’t respond anymore “so this is it this is how I die..miles away from the village..I’m sorry ryuudo-sensei, mika-chan, tou-san, kaa-san, yuu-nee, this is the end” are my thoughts as the leader brings down his blade intending to cut me down the center, I slowly closed my eyes accepting my fate and waiting for the cold blade to pierce my skin but it never came, I opened one eye to see the blade in someone’s hand, I followed the hand to see whose it belonged to and gasped in shock. “Ryuudo-sensei!” I said with shock and happiness evident in my voice, “are u ok kai-chan” he asked in a deep powerful voice, his eyes locked on the leader of the squad, rage was evident in his eyes as he griped the blade harder ,a little blood seeping from his palm “Kai-Chan. Return to the village I will finish up things here” Ryuudo said with a commanding voice as he used his free hand to grip the hilt of his own katana strapped at his waist, I gave him a nod and sprinted deep into the forest heading toward the village. “You won’t escape us brat..Get him” the leader yelled and his subordinates started to sprint off in the direction that I ran off in but a rain of shurikens instantly blocked their path. “I’m your opponent” ryuudo said as he brought his foot up and planted it in the leader’s stomach sending him skidding back a few feet, “you will not pursue my student” ryuudo said as he took a few steps forward “Ha its 4vs1 you have no chance of winning” the leader said and his men laughed with him “we’ll kill u then go after the little brat” he said as he and his men rushed at Ryuudo. He slowly closes his eyes with his hand on his hilt “dark nova splitter” he mentally said as he blurred past his targets leaving slash marks in a X like pattern all over their bodies. They fell to the ground dead before another thought could enter their minds, now all that was left is the leader. “Tch! They were weak anyway ill kill u myself!” he said as he lunged at ryuudo his blade aimed for a open arc slash at his mid section, but ryuudo parried it with the same wide arc slash. They begin clashing blades for a good 6min, neither showing any sign of giving up. Soon the fatigue got to the leader and he soon got desperate “crap, he doesn’t look at all tired and here I am on my last rope, I guess I’ll have to use that move” he said as he ducked to the ground and used the back of his heel to kick up dirt into Ryuudo’s face, Ryuudo ducked and delivered a spinning roundhouse kick to his mid section but he wasn’t there anymore. “where is he” Ryuudo whispered to himself and his answer came soon as he looked up into the air and saw that the leader was rocketing towards him with his hand tightly griping his blade “take this helm splitter!” he said as he brought down his blade with extreme force, Ryuudo quickly thinking brought up his blade to parry the strike, their two blade connected and sparks went flying, the ground under Ryuudo’s feet cracked under the immense pressure, quickly thinking Ryuudo grabbed the man’s palm with one hand and spun on the balls of his feet starting a spin throwing his enemy off balance and he quick as a flash leaped in the air and brought his foot up and smashed it into the man’s sternum sending him flying into a nearby tree. “enough playing around, its time I end this battle” Ryuudo said as he held his blade up at eye level and switched his attack stance to a more upright yet rigid stance as he took in a breath, “pierce the darkest void” he said to himself then vanished from his opponents sight and reappeared in front of him and lunged his sword straight into his heart. Ryuudo slowly pulled his blade from the man’s body and the dead body fell over to the side as Ryuudo swung his sword down and the blood that was on his blade splattered onto the floor. “hn..Weakling” he said with a disappointed look as he sheathed his katana and walked onto the path back to the village.

Yuu had just arrived back at the village as he looked up at its massive gates that had the kanji for gale at the center piece of the arch that supported it, “it’s good to be home” he thought with a smile as he reached into his back pocket to see if the information he had been carrying was still there, he breathed a sigh of relief when he felt the scroll and he dashed into the village making his way to the mission tower to report his success to the village lord.
