The blood secret

Chapter 3

The following morning the house felt like a war zone, an eerie vibe filled the air as i walked down the stairs. Since last nights incident Sue wasn't happy with me and Blake was pissed off with me still. I walked into the kitchen and found sue making breakfast already with Blake just sat there playing on his phone.

I decided to skip breakfast this morning and head of to school early, one of Blake's new friends was giving him a ride to school from now on so that was one less thing i needed to worry about. I called Finn to see if he wanted to meet me at school and get some more of the project done, he agreed to meet me there at eight which meant i had thirty minutes to get ready and head out. For some reason that thirty minutes seemed to drag on forever and just as i was about to leave, i heard Sue calling me from the kitchen.

"Where are you going? You haven't had breakfast yet." I leaned against the wall and by the look on her face, she wasn't in any mood for me to give her attitude, so i just simply answered her question. I may have not told her the whole truth, but i didn't think she needed to know it.

"I'm going to school early today. I have a project that I'm doing and i thought i'd get some extra time in before school.

"Is it with that boy from last night?" I was so close to screaming right then and there, that i did something that i rarely do and that was yell at someone.

"Whats your problem, it's Blake's fault that his hands all messed up like that, he shouldn't have tried to punch Finn and for your information yes, it is with that guy. I'll see you later." after that i just stormed out of the house and didn't say another word. I did feel sorry for Sue, i didn't mean to take it out on her but Blake started it by being way to over protective.

I pulled up to the school car park at eight exactly and when i got out i realized I'd parked next to Finn's truck. He was early, for some reason that bought a smile to my face. I headed straight for the library but when i walked in, it looked completely empty, there was no one here. 

I suddenly felt uneasy, i walked upstairs and still there was no sight of Finn or anyone. I tried calling him but there was no answer, in the end i decided to wait on one of the tables, thinking maybe he's just using the restroom or something but after a while the room started getting cold; the windows were freezing over and i could see my breath as i breathed out.

My heart started pounding hard in my chest and that's when i saw him, the dark figure. I ran to the opposite side off the room, trying to create as much space between us as i could. He started walking towards me, his black cloak dragging behind him as he weaved around the tables.

I tried to scream but was in so much shock that i couldn't make single noise and a second later he was right in front of me. That's when it hit me, i was about to die. The man who always kills me at the end of my dreams is standing right in front of me with hiss hand around my neck. I could feel the life draining from me as he squeezed his hand tighter, in the background all i could hear was the ticking of a clock; a rhythmic, steady pounding through the silence of the library. 

My vision was starting to blur and my body was getting heavier every minute he had his hand around my neck. I suddenly remembered last night, the cool white snow on my bare feet; the blood running down my leg dying the white snow red and then everything went black. I felt my body drop to the floor but my eyes where already closed and i couldn't open them, i couldn't even feel my body anymore.

"Sky. Can you hear me?" I could feel someone's cold hands around me, shaking me gently; i opened my eyes slowly to blinding light and found Finn standing over me with a scared look on his face. That's when i remembered everything that had just happened. The dark figure, he tried to kill me; no wait he had killed me. I was meant to be dead on the floor.
