"I'm glad we finally get to spend a day off together" You smiled, nuzzling closer into your boyfriend Michael's side. You had both been really busy recently, Mouse with his lifeguarding, you with your job, and your free time never seemed to coincide.

You lifted your head from its position to get a better view of your other half. His hair was disheveled from having woken up not long ago, the faint lines left by the pillow still marking his cheek. He peered down at you, a small smile tugging at his lips as he caught you staring.

"What?" He asked, a small laugh escaping his lips as your cheeks heated up at being caught.

"Just love you, that's all..." You whispered, finally looking away from his gaze "C'mon, we need some breakfast"

You reluctantly stood, heading for the kitchen to get something to eat. The morning went by quickly, both of you being somewhat productive, from making breakfast together which ended in a food fight to duets whilst cleaning out your apartment. But now it was time to relax.

You let yourself fall onto the couch, letting out a sigh of relief as the weight was lifted from your feet. You looked to the doorway as you heard Mouse chuckle at you, before scooting to leave him some space and patting the spot next to you.

He pulled you into him, your back pressed against his chest, legs up on the couch. You felt the trace of his fingers in your hair, gently pulling at different strands.

"What are you even trying to do?" You laughed

"Shush... I'm trying to braid your hair"

"That's not how you do it..." You replied, the look of concentration that covered his face seconds ago now turned into one of frustration. "I'll teach you some other time, but right now, just hold me..."

His hands left your head and wrapped around your waist instead, nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck. You felt safe like nothing could ever happen to you at that moment. He was your everything and you would never ever let him go. Moments like this were your favourite, where you didn't have a care in the world, where you felt loved.

Soft snores eventually escaped his lips. You took one last glance at him before snuggling further in his hold, whispering "I love you" before closing your own eyes and drifting into the land of dreams.

A/N: Sorry it's short but I hope it was ok anyway!
