Can you save me Kagami Taiga?// kuroko no basket fanfiction

We meet for the first time

The game had just got heated Kagami and Akashi were one on one. You could tell from both of their eyes that Kagami was in the zone and Akashi had the burning desire to win.

There were only thirty seconds left and kagami had the ball ready to make a shot but before he could it was stolen from his grip by Akashi who dribbled the ball to the other side of the court using his emperor eye to clear his path to make an easy shot.

As he shot the ball through the hoop the buzzer had gone off and the referee had called halftime. As this was the final game of the winter cup, a half time performance had been prepared. The speakers started to play.

"This year's performance is none other than the cheerleading squad from Rakuzan performing a cheer routine from the national cheer championship which they won first place.

10 minutes later

The show had finished and the players were getting ready to come back on to the court. As the cheerleaders walked off the court Kagami crossed paths and Locked eyes with Daichi Aoi and for the second they locked eyes both of them felt like the world had stopped for a moment and they were the only two people in the world. The. Their cheeks both turned pink and their hands touched for a moment and it felt like a shock of electricity flowing through their fingers.

From across the court Akashi could see what happened and was furious because Aoi is supposed to belonged to him since their fathers agreed on their marriage as a way to bond both families. This just fire him up to win even more because he wants to crush  kagami.

Aoi left and headed outside. The third quarter was just about to begin when kagami asked "who was that girl."

"That's Daichi Aoi she's goes to Rakuzan high school and is engaged to Akashi." Kuroko said as he looked up at kagami.

"What! She's engaged to Akashi. Poor girl I know I wouldn't want to be stuck in her shoes." He says whilst his heart breaks a little.

" why the sudden interest Kagami? And anyways focus on the game." Huyga said whacking him on his back.

" yes captain! I'll stay in the zone." Kagami said enthusiastically.

Meanwhile outside

"Daichi do you think your better than everybody , just because your engaged to the captain of the basketball team." A member of the cheer squad said whilst grabbing her hair and throwing her down.

"No I didn't think any of that. Please stop." Aoi said begging them to stop.

"We'll stop when you are no longer engaged to Akashi seijuro." The girl said smacking her.

"You deserve every bit of hell we're giving you."the girl said walking away with her minions walking behind her. Aoi was left alone near the stairs of the entrance so she put on her jacket, fixed her hair and picked up her bag. She continued to walk inside to catch the rest of the game from the sides of the court.

When she entered inside she was beckoned over by the coach. "Daichi I want you to help out in the last few minutes to be a temporary manager. Can you do that?" He asked whilst concentrating on the game.

"Um...yes." She said as she walked over to the towels and coolers. As she was standing there she couldn't help but keep her eyes on the game. She was captivated by all of their movements but she was mostly focused on kagami, she was amazed to see his passion and focus in the game.

The last thirty seconds of the game had the most suspense because the last shot would decide who the winter cup champion was going to be.

Kuroko stole the ball from Akashi and dribbled it across the court and was ready to shoot. Akashi sped towards him then jumped as high as he could to try and stop kuroko but kuroko's shot had made it passed him. Then out of nowhere kagami got the ball and slammed it through the hoop. The buzzer went off and there was a moment of silence until kuroko started to smile then all of them shouted because they had just defeated Rakuzan high the strongest high school basketball team.

Nobody could believe what just happened, especially Akashi, he had never been defeated before. Akashi turned his face toward Aoi. You could see that he was upset about losing but his passion for the game was burning again.

He bowed at the other team and walked towards Aoi who was packing away the towels and he water bottles. "Aoi-chan can I hug you if you don't mind." He said covering his face. She shot up from her squatting position and he wraps his arms around her and rests his head over her shoulder. She was so surprised by his actions she just stood shocked in place.

It lasted about a minute before he let go and gave a huge sigh. " I'll take you home." He said picking up his bag.

"Um... thank you Akashi-Kun." She said slightly bowing. They both exited the stadium with Aoi following behind. They reached the car that Akashi's father had sent to take him home. He opened the door for her and closed the door behind her. He opened the door on the other side and sat next to her. "Is something troubling you Aoi-chan?" He said moving her hair out of her face to reveal a small bruise on the side of her cheek.

"Nothings wrong just tired that's all. My house is just right there  you can drop me off here. Thank you very much." She said covering her face.

"Actually I have business at your house my father is currently there for dinner with your father. We should head in together." He said with a smirk on his face. Aoi nods her head and they leave the car and walk up to her house.

They're welcomed by a house keeper who takes their things and puts them away. They take off their shoes and enter the dining room were their fathers were sat discussing business.

"Excuse me father, Daichi-san but we have returned I hope you didn't get too hungry waiting for us to join." Akashi said whilst respectfully bowing.

"No problem Seijuro there is no need to be formal as we are all going to be family soon." Aoi's father said whilst gesturing them to take a seat.

Aoi sat on the left side of the table and Akashi sat directly across from her. They both exchanged looks and waited for dinner to be served.

When dinner was served Aoi only had five bites of food until she spoke "father I do not have much of an appetite may I be excused for the night." He agreed to let her go so she said her good nights and left to go to her bedroom. When she left the room she felt a sigh of relief because the tension in that room was too much for her to handle.

As she got to her room she entered the en-suite bathroom so that she could wash up before she slept. When she left the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body she was surprised to see Akashi standing in the middle of the room with one hand in his pocket and the other holding a portrait of her with her mother.

" I understand where you get your beauty from now Aoi-chan." Akashi said putting the picture frame back were he had picked it up from. He then started to walk towards Aoi, but as he took a step forward she moved one step back until she had fallen onto her bed. She was in no position to move away now, Akashi had backed her into a corner.

He towers over her. She could feel his warm breath on her skin it brought chills down her spine and made her cheeks turn a bright shade of red. Akashi proceeds to hold her waist with one hand whilst the other cups her face. He looks down into her eyes and gets ready to kiss her but he was interrupted by his father calling him so that they could leave.

"I guess we'll have to continue this another time." He says combing his hair back with his fingers and composing himself before he opens the door. When he left Aoi let out a huge breath and tears started to flow from her eyes.

She couldn't process what was going to happen but all she knew was that it wouldn't happen again. She quickly got dressed for bed then sprawled herself across the bed. In that moment all she could think of was her encounter with the boy with the dark red hair. She then thought to herself if only I knew his name.

I enjoyed watching this anime because I love the tension in the game and I like the competition.

My ideas of the story was to shown kagami in a different way and show the readers that he could be capable to fall in love.
