I can still feel your fingers in my hair
your kisses on my tummy
and how my heart broke when you were gone.———
It was another cold winter evening where Myoui Mina mourned her beautiful ex-lover, Son Chaeyoung. The loving memories of her once to-be wife always resurfaced when it snowed - perhaps it was because they first fell in love when Chaeyoung found Mina crying outside in the snow, and wasn't sure if her cute little nose was red due to the freezing temperatures or her tears.
But it wasn't only winter that reminded Mina of the once, strong and healthy girl she had fallen in love with. Summer, had put those two in an euphoric state of mind when they would go on night walks and bathe in cool rivers, as they had the spotlight of the moon itself. It was where Son Chaeyoung confessed her undying love for Myoui Mina, while caressing her long, brown hair. With both hearts beating in sync, the two girls kissed, and at that moment they had known that they were lovers truly meant to be.
Spring, the season when everything came to life and bloomed represented their love. The time they first made love was a memory Mina would never forget - she had never felt so pleasured but so beautiful at the same time. Chaeyoung took her to heaven, and brought her back with her sweet whispers after it. She would kiss her tummy after, praising her. Every butterfly that blossomed with every feather of a kiss is still prominent in Mina's stomach. The skeleton of each butterfly still remained in place, who only come to life after feeling Chaeyoung's love. Mina just wished Chaeyoung hasn't actually gone to heaven.
There was no reason for autumn to exist. It was the time when everything dies. Leaves would fall in lonesome piles, and the skies turned gloomy and gray. If Mina had known that it was when her lover would die too. Chaeyoung's horrified face right before getting hit by the death machine going too fast in a small road stayed tattooed into her brain. It was unfair that autumn took away the most lively beings. It was unfair how autumn killed everything, but comes back the next year like nothing happened, as if it didn't murder poor, innocent souls.
And then, there was winter again, a cold reminder that autumn happened. It clenched Mina's heart as it played once happy memories into her depressed mind. Nothing was the same without Chaeyoung, and nothing ever will be. Fate had put her with her soulmate just to take her away. Mina knows her lover would want her to fall in love again, but she could never feel the same way again. Unless Chaeyoung was back.
Mina stared emptily into the blazing fireplace, still shivering. She really hated the weather.
