"It's been two weeks."
Taehyung, Namjoon and Yoongi are sitting at the kitchen table having lunch before they head to the studio to work on the new song Tae's been writing. None of the elders reply to Taehyung's comment, they just keep staring at their food silently.
"What the hell happened? Did one of you say something to her? I can't wrap my head around the fact that she'd just randomly say she won't see me anymore. Something must have happened. Or someone..."
And with the heavy silence remaining, he just loses it. His plate flies to the wall as he gets up before exiting the dining room. Both Yoongi and Namjoon exchange surprised expressions, but no words are spoken still. They remain like this for a minute, then Namjoon sighs, gets up and goes to pick up the broken parts of the plate. "Are you going to tell him? I don't want him getting violent because of all this. You know how he can act when his questions are left unanswered..." he finally says without glancing over to his hyung. "He'll get over it." Yoongi replies. "Just give it a couple days. I don't know why he's acting up because of a one night stand. You know I did this for us right? Nobody wants to be in a position where our career could be jeopardized. I was just thinking about the group."
Namjoon comes back to sit at the table beside Yoongi, and sighs once more. He knows Yoongi has a valid point. When they started, none of them ever really paid attention at how their personal relationships could affect the whole team. They were just young boys that wanted to make music, but they didn't know how much of their youth they'd have to give up for success. "Hyung, I hear what you're saying. But did you really get that impression from Tess? She didn't even know who we were before we told her. I don't think she had any intentions to mess with the group. She seemed like a genuinely nice girl, and Taehyungie looks like he really cares for her. Don't you think it was a little harsh to stab him in the back like that?"
Yoongi's fists tense up immediately, and he clenches his jaw at the question. "Do you think I had fun doing this? Because I didn't. It was fucking hard. I don't know what was going on with me when she was around. I felt all sorts of things I shouldn't have." He stops, shuts his eyes as a cold shiver runs through his back. "She's bad news, Joon. She's not a bad person, but I'm scared we probably ALL would've ended up falling for her. And we can't have that. We can't fight each other for a girl. 7 guys in a professional partnership can't handle that. It would tear us apart. Tell me you didn't feel anything when you saw her. I promise you, you did. Because so did I."
And with his hyung staring at him, waiting for an answer, Namjoon exhales in agreement. "I did. She felt like home the second I saw her." He looks at Yoongi directly in his eyes before he continues. "But that doesn't mean we shouldn't at least give Taehyungie the chance to try. Maybe it would've worked out..." Yoongi cuts him off. "It wouldn't have. Tell me you'd be ready to give up a girl like that for the sake of the group, but still have to see her all the time because your bro is dating her. It would kill you, Joon. I know you."
The conversation ends there. Unsettled, Namjoon leaves the kitchen first as he lets out a faint "I'm going to the studio. Grab Taehyung and just meet me there." He grabs his coat and calls for a driver, but chooses to wait outside instead of having to talk to Yoongi about this issue anymore.
In the hallway beside the dining room, a pissed off Taehyung is sitting down hugging his knees, the remains of a few tears hanging from the corners of his eyes.
------------
He has been texting me everyday. Every single day for the past two weeks. I've tried to ignore the many calls, staring as the screen of my phone displays cute bear before it is sent to voicemail. I've seen a car parked close to my house, once every few days, and I know it's him. It stays there for half an hour, hoping to catch me on my way out of the house, but it always ends up leaving in the end.
