It was the big day. The day everygirl at school was waiting for. Prom. Mariah was getting ready in her room, adding some final touch to her make up and adjusting her hair. She smiled to her reflection in the mirror, feeling pretty. Mariah went in her bathroom, where her dress was patiently waiting. Mariah took the soft material of her white dress in her hands and couldn't help but smile, as she started to get dressed.

"Mom!" She yelled. The door opened. "Oh my god!" Mariah's mother gasped.

She felt her cheeks blush under the compliments of her mother. "He is going to be speechless!" She said to her daughter, after kissing her on top of Mariah's head.

Mariah was putting her black heels when she heard the doorbell. Instantly she started feeling nervous. Her mother called her from downstairs. "Your cavalier is here!"

Mariah gave herself one last look in the mirror and got out of her room. She went down the stares slowly, making sire she wont fall and make a fool out of herself.

When her eyes met his, everything between them seemed to fade. He was the only think she could see and same for him. Luke's mouth was slightly open, as he stood there in his white tux. "Ma...Mariah, y-you are..." He mumbled. Mariah grabbed her boyfriend's hand while her parents were taking pictures.

They were about to leave when Luke whispeared in Mariah's ear: "You look so hot, babe!"
