Chapter 25

The walk across campus was an uneventful one. I walked quickly, or as quickly as I could with my new heels on, eager to see Aaron again.

Thankfully, I didn’t run into anyone – particularly Carly. I wasn’t in the mood to bitch anyone out right now.

When I reached Aaron’s room, I paused for just a moment before knocking, so I could have the chance to double-check myself and make sure that I looked okay.

Thankfully, I did.

I then knocked on the door, but there was no answer. After a minute passed, I knocked again.

Still no answer.

I was confused, and when I tried to open the door, to my surprise it was unlocked.

“Hello?” I said, walking into the room.

I didn’t see anyone in it, which made me even more confused. Where was Aaron? I assumed that his roommate was out somewhere, but I didn’t think that Aaron would have gone with him.

I shrugged and sat down on Aaron’s bed, making myself comfortable. I figured that I would just wait until he showed up.

After about five minutes, Aaron walked out of the bathroom – the one place I hadn’t thought to check.

His hair was wet and he was only wearing a pair of jeans, which I was perfectly okay with.

“Hey there,” I said, causing Aaron to notice me.

He turned around, startled, but grinned when he saw that it was me who was sitting on his bed.

Aaron walked over to me and sat down, nuzzling his face into my neck.

“Knock it off,” I said, giggling.

Aaron just grinned and kissed me.

“I could get used to this, you know…” he said, smiling.

For a moment I was confused, and I tried to figure out what he was talking about. I ended up giving in, and I asked, “Get used to what?”

Aaron had been playing with a lock of my hair, and he tucked it behind my ear, before leaning in towards me and quietly saying, “having you in my bed.”

I kissed him and said, “Well, you better get used to it then.”

This was one of the many reasons why I liked Aaron so much. He was sweet, and an actual genuine person.

“So,” I said, “what are we going to do tonight? I told Laurane that I would be gone until the morning.”
