                           AMANDA'S P.O.V 

Today am finally going for my interview at COC, the center of coding , i know am just 16 but you know i'm a prodigy , lets take a flashback 

    I used to go to SOC, the school of coding , til i entered some contest and won an internship or possibly a job at COC , ya i would leave my best friend, Chloe but hey opportunities only come once in a lifetime.......Anyway i was pretty nervous as i walked to COC since it was like 3 blocks from my house good thing i practiced this last night......sometimes am a little control freak. i was totally ready til i saw some boy staring at me in the lobby !! i was honestly disappointed at least he was cute...and then it hit me i had spilled my coffee on my white  cotton blouse .He came right over and handed me a napkin when i was heading to the elevator and that's when the door shut exactly when he was about to say his name. Dang it! i cleaned myself and headed straight for my interview. i didn't know if i was supposed to knock so i counted up to 5 and walked in, good thing is Mr.Brown was 'expecting me'. I took my seat and got the interview started.

"Amanda Johnson ...so you think you can handle this job....i mean your only 16!" He said inspecting me . "well i mean i really need this job but maybe we can make a bargain ...how about i work as an intern for a few months to gain your trust?" i said anxiously. "Exactly what i was about to say maybe your more than a prodigy than i thought "He said smiling ,"i know the perfect internship you can do,you could help me come up with a special code for my computer , come to my house tomorrow at 5 to begin." "thank you Mr.Brown you wont be disappointed " i said shaking his hands and leaving. 

i quickly texted Chloe that i got in and she was so proud of me plus she wanted us to celebrate at 'Jiggly Juicer' our favorite hangout. i texted my mum i was heading to Chloe's for a celebration sine i got into COC , me and my mum were never close because she's a workaholic.

When i reached Chloe's i walked right in since her dad's always at work. I was so happy when we reached the juicer i insisted on paying for the juice .

"So girl tell me all about it " Chloe said excitedly. "i got an interview before i can get the job and get this! i totally found a cute boy i really hope he works there because that would be very rewarding. i said slurping my drink.

"A job and a hunk?! wow two rewards in one day lucky you ...while my day was a bust! school was totally boring without you Hun." Chloe said . I was so surprised why she was telling me all this i often have to ask her what happened am just happy she's happy. " don't worry ill always make time for you ..speaking of you your birthday's coming up and i know the perfect gift for you since you don't like parties." i said happily. "Awesome ill totally call you i'm ready for my surprise. We ordered another Uber and headed to Chloe's i when she had to go home early since you know strict dad and all.

"Finally! Now tell me what happened?"asked Dad trying to keep his emotions in check."I got in!!!" I screamed hugging him. "where's mum? Lemme guess double shift huh?" i said sadly. I know  she's trying to earn for 2 but she could try to spend more time with us." yep! you know its work work work with her .....but guess what? I made your favorite spongecake to celebrate!"dad said trying to get my hopes up but it didn't work.

"Thanks dad but I'll have some tomorrow ..i guess i gotta go do some coding or whatever " I said heading up stairs. I know i must have hurt my dad but he has to understand how much mum has hurt me. Heck she didn't even make it  for my Sweet Sixteen like who's mum does that??!!

i set my alarm for 9:00am and drifted off to sleep.
