Her headphones blasting music at full volume, the cold morning air nipping at her skin and the need to push her protesting muscles to the limit were the only things Daisy was feeling. The sun was starting to reach out to the world and clearing the darkness with all things it came with.

Daisy momentarily closed her eyes enjoying the burn within her lungs as she sped along the beach. The beach was usually empty at this time of the morning that is why she did not expect to trip on something and fall flat on her face.

Anyone who knew Daisy understood that despite her being one of the best basketball players in her school, the girl was super clumsy. Tripping on air was not something new for her but this time she had felt something hit her toe before she toppled over.

A scream tore through her lips when she finally noticed what she had tripped on. How Daisy did not notice the body lying on the beach is a mystery. Daisy identified the body as that of a girl. The girl was lying against the sand like a discarded doll. One of her legs was twisted at a weird angle and the hands pulled against her chest as if protecting something. Having remembered something she saw in a movie and quickly took out her phone and gently placed it on the girl's face.

Daisy let out a long sigh of relief. She did not even know the girl but the cold hand of fear that had gripped her heart started to slowly release when she saw the most on her phone screen caused by the girl's breathe.

One could not point out the girl's age as she looked really frail . Her body was so tiny that someone would mistake her to be young but her face was hardened and looked too mature for her age. Scars marred different parts of her pale body, the bruises on her face looked fresh.

Daisy crouched beside the poor girl and called the only person she knew that would help...Haze picked his phone on the second ring and Daisy hurriedly explained the situation to him before hearing a harsh cough that made her to fall back surprised and her phone to fall.
She watched the girl sit up and cough. She icily inspected her surrounding before struggling to stand. Her face contorted in pain but she didn't seem to mind it as she continued to stand.

Falling back the girl huffed in annoyance. Daisy rushed forward and placed her hand on the girl's shoulder. Gently restricting her from moving.
" You need to sit back...I think your leg is injured," she said, " I've called for help and they will be here any minute."
The girl directed her icy glare at Daisy forcing her to automatically withdraw her hand. The girl silently watched Daisy with calculation that was only used by animals sizing up their prey.

" Stand back and say whatever you were doing to me," the girl said.

The words were uttered with so much malevolence that Daisy had the urge to walk away from the girl who she now felt was being ungrateful but she could not. It felt like strings were pulling her to do whatever the girl wanted her to do. She mechanically took a step back before she started speaking.
