Wherein The Soulmates fight, the Hyungs are stressed, and Jungkook just needs a nap.

Yoongi was sitting up against the wall of their most recent dressing room. Yet another large, open room at yet another large showcase, the latest of the never-ending stint of promo they'd been doing recently. Damn, he was exhausted.

He knew he should be grateful. Their group was still so new, they should be grateful for all the promo opportunities they'd been given. And he WOULD be grateful... later. When he was less dead on his feet and had more than two hours of sleep in his system. For now, though, he just needed a break.

Fortunately, it looked like he was about to get just that. They had had to arrive at the venue quite early in the day for soundcheck, and they were to be camped out on-site until after the showcase, which didn't start until seven pm that evening. Which meant that hair and makeup and costuming didn't have to happen until five-thirty. It was currently only noon. Five and a half glorious hours of rest (and about as much relaxation as one could have when one was in a group with six other testosterone-fuelled band mates).

Yoongi has capitalized on this glorious break, immediately making a beeline for the far end of the room to recharge. It was quieter over there, and being the introvert he was, he needed quiet to recharge so he could get in the zone later.

He had picked his spot strategically. He was partially sectioned off from the others by two tables set up about fifteen feet in front of him, piled high with all their equipment, hair products, makeup and backpacks. But at the same time, he had clear sight lines towards the door, and a decent periphery to keep an eye on his bandmates, who were all just as strung out as he was. He did a quick survey of the room.

Jin had all but crashed at one of the tables, head resting on the table in defeat after a vain attempt to get everyone else to quiet down and nap or rest.

Namjoon was currently stuck in leader mode, running around and micromanaging everything. His left brain was in overdrive and he was on a mission to get every single task done. His checklist was the only thing keeping him from passing out on the spot.

Hoseok, ever the sunshine, still had a smile plastered across his face, although it was sightly thinner than usual, and was absolutely resolute in his (erroneous, Yoongi thought) decision to continue marking their choreo for tonight with Jungkook. Yoongi could tell that it wouldn't be long until he crashed. Hobi had decided to play sacrificial lamb and drag a suddenly very giddy and clingy Jungkook into helping him in an effort to separate him from Jimin, who had reached the "laugh away from a tear" phase.

Like Hobi, Jimin was doing an admirable job of pushing through the exhaustion, but when he got like this it was always better to avoid setting the boy off. He would happily cater to the Maknae's giddiness for a time, only to turn around and snap at the him when things went a little too far. Taehyung was another story. When the boy got tired, he got broody. He would pick a fight with anyone who would dare disturb him. Much like Yoongi himself.

Yoongi readjusted his position, pulling out his phone as it buzzed with an incoming group text from Namjoon.

*Got dragged into a meeting with the managers. Will be down the hall if you need me*

Yoongi sighed, before typing a quick response.

*Thanks for the heads up*

Yoongi set his phone down and returned to scanning the room. Jin was now sitting up and talking to one of the stylists, joined by Hobi and Jungkook. He could see the eldest eyeing something out of the corner of his eye. Yoongi followed his gaze to where Tae and Jimin were sat at the next table. Jimin sat next to him, dutifully going through his homework assignments. Tae's head was down on the table, and he seemed to be playing a game on his phone.
