Chapter 12 : Cherry pie

  Jotaro's indications were the only words said during the ride, the tension was so thick that Jill and him did not dare start a conversation. The few miles they drove felt like thousands, evey seconds felt like minutes.

  Jotaro finally recognizes his house in the distance.

- Turn left and the third house on the right is where I live." Jotaro simply said

  Jill hums in response, turns left and stops in front of the third house on the right. Jotaro opens the car door, gets out and heads for the front gate of his house.

- Thank you Jill, for driving me home." Jotaro says, his voice still not leaving any hint if his emotions.

- No problem Jojo... Is Noriaki at his house ?" Jill asks, worried.

- No, he's here. Still sleeping I hope...

- Good...good..."Jill marks a pause  "Please Jotaro, take good care of him." She says.

  Jotaro simply answers "don't worry" before opening the gate of the residence, he can hear the barmaid's car drive away. He looks around him, trying to find his mother's car, he finds it at it's usual parking spot.

Great...Jiji and Mom are home...Time for explanations...Jotaro thinks

He enters the house and closes the sliding door behind him, he is greeted by his grandfather's voice :

- Jotaro ! Where the hell were you, we were worried about you !" Joseph scolds him.

- Not your business old man." Jotaro replies with a cold tone.

- I'm getting tired of your behavior ! Answer me right now !" Joseph says, clear anger in his voice.

- I was dealing with a problem that's all." Jotaro says, annoyed.

- What problem ?" Joseph asks still angry.

Jotaro seriously doubts, can he tell what happened to his elders ? What would be their reaction if they knew what happened to Kakyoin ? He decides not to tell them at all, if he does, it would make the old man go wild.

- It's about Kakyoin...before I tell you anything, you to promise me something.

Joseph suddenly seems less angry, and more worried.

- Okay, tell me." The old man says.

- Promise me you won't do anything stupid.

- What is that supposed to mean ?" Joseph asks, clearly annoyed by his grandson's indirect insult.

  Jotaro grunts with exasperation
towards his grandfather.
"Just, let's sit down and talk about it."

The two males sit down in the living room. Joseph looks concerned, in fact, he is fearing bad news from his grandson.

- Okay, so..." Jotaro stops is sentence, takes a deep breathing sighs "Can Kakyoin sleep here tonight ?"

- Why are you asking me this ? Of course he can ! But only if you behave yourself, you hear me ? If I hear any weird noise or moa....

- OKAY I understand, no need to specify." Jotaro cuts off his grandfather's sentence.

- I'm glad that's clear between us. I doubt that Holly refuses that Kakyoin stays over, so let's say it's good ! You can call him and tell him the news." Joseph says smiling and giving a thumbs up to Jotaro.
