I screamed 'help' for the millionth time and the only response I could sense was the strong gush of wind. I was being sucked into the vortex of doom.
Where am I, I asked myself. I couldn't locate
anything. The pitch black area didn't allow my eyes to accommodate to the surroundings. The life detector, my first creation was misplaced. I had to locate it in
order to survive. I calmed myself and slowly leaned on the rusted window. As everything around me was engulfed in darkness and silence, l heard the waves crash. I tried to heighten my senses and followed the sound. There laid my
ray of hope, the life detector. I could hear it beep indicating the presence of someone in the vicinity. How do i get there, was the only question on my mind.
I decided to wait for the first light of the day to embark on my next adventure. There is a saying ' when life gives you lemons, make lemonade out of it'
For twenty something years I had made this my motto making the best of everything available. The world is losing it's resources and tough times have hit us hard.
Should you follow this, your chance of survival is bleak. The government situated at the capitol has always held the reign and us commoners, have been the puppets so far. Subjected to the cruelties of life, people have modified their lifestyle. Ways to save mankind is the most pondered thought these days. The earth is being eaten away and the people struggle and thrive for a decent living. As one of the well-wishers of
mankind, I decided to embark on a quest to find the cure and heal the world. This great thought has led to my current situation. My first creation, the life detector is my priceless possession. The severity of the situation and the lack of time never let me come up with a cool name. Anyways
back to my awesome gadget, it detects the survivors or ' left overs' as what the government refers to us. It detected a survivor five miles off the coast in the town
of waffleberry and now I'm sucked into a so called blackhole of doom. I've been wandering for hours and screaming for help. Not one soul can hear my cry. I
guess geeky gadget owners don't really get help! The gadget detected another survivor in an island nearby. I have no mode of communication or transport to get there. The SOS is SNS now. Save no soul! I wish I could build a raft or something that will carry me to the island. The lack of light is really getting to me and my mind is blind.
Waiting for the first light is like waiting for the rain during a drought. As I waited for the night to pass, l made notes of the new gadget I wanted to design.
Even after what felt like eternity, the first light didn't show up. I decided to recite the value of pi. About 149 numbers later, i saw my ray of sunshine.Unknown island here l come! The first light gave me my first idea for the day. I designed a raft and named it the 'blue lady' after the blue sky and sea (The raft does deserve a cool name). Five miles is not a long distance to cover when a survivor awaits on the other side. I pulled out a sheet
and plotted the map to navigate to the island. My advanced compass pin-pointed the exact location which led me to begin my journey. Rule number fifty-five: When you're in search of something afar, always use
the ultra vision binoculars. Don't ask me for all the fifty-four rules, it will unravel as the journey proceeds. I really hope I don't run into a government servant anywhere. They have been on a hunt for six months trying
to locate me and use me as their so called puppet. I had to go incognito in order to escape those snakes. Now I go by the name trudy Clearwater, a forensic pathologist from the city of ipsilwanya. I've come to
waffleberry to collect samples from the mysterious case of the deceased. This cover should help me for a few days until I'm on the move. After and hour of sailing, I made it to the island in one piece with everything intact. Life detector, where is the survivor!?
The detector beeped continuously as I moved to the heart of the island and there lay a man with multiple wounds. He had a gun shot injury along with multiple cuts and abrasions. He was profusely bleeding.
I checked for his pulse which was faint. I had to save this man. I slowly made him drink the healing potion made of all the special herbs from the mountain of izatibas. Two hours later, he slowly regained his
conciousness and told me how he was attacked by an unknown person who moved around like a flash of light. I have never heard of something like this. The island is unsafe and we have to move out here.l helped him straighten up and we slowly made it to the raft. We reached the town of waffleberry by dusk and I dropped the wounded man to his abode and
continued my journey.
