It's Christmas!!!!

December!!!!

"Hooray, it's December, time to decorate for Christmas!" Hailey shouts at the top of her lungs as she skips down the stairs to breakfast.
"Well someone seems to be in a good mood, what's the occasion?" Chase asks as he rubs the sleep out of his eyes.
"It's December silly!" Hailey replies as she continues to dance happily around.
"So what's the big deal, it is just another month isn't it?" Aiden said appearing out of nowhere.
"December is the month of Christmas!" Hailey stops to stare at Aiden. "What else would be this exciting?"
Autumn walks in overhearing their conversation and replies, " Hailey, Winged don't celebrate Christmas, it is a human holiday. I'm pretty sure we discussed this not long after you came here."
"WHAT?!?!?!?!, I thought that you were kidding! I can't believe that there is no Christmas in Aeolus!!!!!!!!!!" Hailey just couldn't keep from screaming.
Aiden laughs and if looks could kill, then Hailey's glare would leave Aiden lying on the floor. So Chase, wanting to ease the the tension, interrupts by saying, "Aiden quit being a butt and let's go eat, I'm absolutely starving."
It seems to work and they all begin to head towards the dining hall for breakfast with the King.

They all head down to the breakfast table as a chattering Hailey leads the way. Chase just begins to zone out when the king walks in on them. "Hailey, Chase. Good morning." "Good morning Sir" Chase says, coming to an alert pose. Hailey is jumping up and down as she says, "Morning Grandpa, Do you know what month it is?!?" Chase mutters, "Oh boy, here we go again." so that know one can hear him. But, to his somber surprise, Hailey's grandfather laughs and proclaims, "Of course dear, it's Christmas time!"
"Oh Grandpa, could we decorate the castle please!?!?! It would be so wonderful if we could celebrate Christmas here!" Hailey is almost begging now.
"I don't know, but we need you to explain everything about Christmas so we will all know what we need to do." the king says with a sly smile on his face.
"Ok Grandpa!" Hailey says before she starts this long, excited description of anything and everything Christmas. As Hailey continued talking Chase began to drift off to sleep, missing all the important things like giving presents and kissing under the mistletoe. He jerked awake as the king says, "I think this is a great idea, it would liven the kingdom up a little. As King I declare Hailey in charge of taking care of all things Christmas this year."
Hailey cheers and Aiden quickly says, "I will be your Chief in Command, I think I'm going to like Christmas after all!" Everybody had a good laugh at Aiden, then Hailey declared,"Well, it is time to begin decorating!"
As everyone began to disperse, Chase walked over to the king as asked, "Sir I don't mean to question you, but how did you know it was time for Christmas?"
The king just kind of laughed as he leaned in close and whispered, "I didn't, the only reason I knew was because I could hear the discussion that took place in the hallway this morning." Chase stared, dumbfounded while the king just smiled and walked out of the room.
