"Valor, hurry up! A sloth would be faster than you!" Tobi yelled. As Valor struggled to catch up, Tobi laughed as her form changed into a sloth. It was about the time of sunset, so Valor and Tobi had to get home quickly before they got a scolding from their mother.

"I want to be a shapeshifter! No fair!"Valor pouted. She stomped her foot on the ground in frustration as Tobi rolled her eyes. Her gaze was set upon her sister. "Stop giving me dirty thoughts! I'm going to tell mom when we get home!"

"Ugh, and I wish you didn't have mind-reading powers," Tobi grunted. She ran at a steady pace and her sister soon caught up.

Once she caught up, she asked, "Hey, do you know what's for dinner? Because I'm STARVING!"

Tobi sighed and smiled while shaking her head. "When are you not?"

As the two girls approached the house, loud clattering noises and yelling shook the fragile walls. They stopped abruptly and exchanged glances filled with curiosity. Together, they dashed into the home, which was surprisingly unlocked. They darted down the halls to where the noise was coming from.

A large kitchen greeted them, the walls racked with pans and pots and cutting boards on one side and trays, baking mixers and cooking utensils on the other. A couple carts were stored in one corner of the grey tiled floor piled with dirty dishes next to a clean, steel sink. Soap bubbles were floating in the air and half of the arrayed cabinets were open.

Suddenly, from Valor's left, a white spatula was swiped from its hanger, and the silhouette of a woman whipped and spun swatting around.

"Mom? Are you there?" Tobi called out curiously as a pan flew by her head. She dodged then Valor swooped down and clutched it tightly, ready to defend herself from an attacker.

"I'm here, bring me that pan, would you?" Kristal, Valor and Tobi's mother, said in a calm voice. A tall woman slipped in front of them from behind the shelves stocked with plates and bowls of china. She was dressed in a purple sweater and a long blue frilly skirt. Valor handed her the pan and stepped back.

"Mom, what's happening?" Valor asked quietly as their mother slashed violently in the air.

"Nothing, sweetie, just swiping at a foul beast!" Kristal said as she looked sweetly at her. Her daughter stiffened up a bit in confusion.

"Where? I can't see it," Tobi scoffed. "Are you finally losing it?"

"No, Tobi dear, it IS invisible to the naked eye, but when you look closely..." she grabbed something from the air and revealed a cover from it. "You can grasp it with a full heart!"

"Wow!" cried Valor as a blonde haired girl with blue eyes was revealed from the cloak. She smiled awkwardly and adjusted her ruffled white headband and smoothed out the clean white apron resting on her black dress.

"Heeeyyyy guuuuysss..." she said, embarrassed. Tobi's mouth gaped open while Valor's right eyebrow arched.

"Fierrn?" Tobi said in disbelief. "What in the world are you doing?" Fierrn laughed nervously, her hand behind her head in a sheepish way.

"Uhhhh, good question," she chuckled. "I'm just going to go now... hehe.."

"Fierrn, explain your actions," Kristal demanded. "Why did you steal my invisibilty cloak?" She crossed her arms and awaited for an answer as the maid continued to giggle in embarrassment.

"Mom?" A small voice came from behind Tobi and Valor. A little youngling with a puppy stood at the doorway.

"Oh, hello, dear Aquila!" Fierrn greeted her, folding her cloak into a neat square. She nodded at the young girl in acknowledgment.
