The sky was a beautiful gradient with white cotton-candy clouds resting above our heads. Our last hours of Grade 6 were slowly disappearing, just like the grains of sand in the hourglass...

Me and my friends arrived at our graduation in elegant formal wear, dressing like princessesss. The entrance door was a ceramic white with beautiful carvings along the sides.

"Come on, let's go" Isabella buoyantly said. We head off into the building without thinking twice.

Immediately, we fall into the arms of the soothing music, along with the joyful converses made by our fellow grade sixes. The whole room sprung with a jubilant aura.

"Good afternoon students and teachers," our voices all allayed as the principal started talking.
"These 6 years have flew by, haven't they?" the whole room nods. Instantly, I thought back to how much I've grown. I remember when I used to be so afraid of talking as I thought everyone would laugh at me. I remember when I used to be so afraid of saying my problems as I thought it'd just become another burden to my friends. But as the years grew, so have I. My friends have helped me learn to be more sociable and less afraid, and I dearly thank them for that.

"Well, I'd like to congratulate you on accomplishing your primary school years, and I hope you have made lots of achievements and memories with people that you will never forget."

After the speech, time went by in a blink of an eye. I was already sitting in my car staring out into the endless clouds. Pittar-patter... pittar-patter. A gentle tapping brought be back to the real world. That's when I thought about the hourglass again. If only time stopped back then. If only the hourglass tilted a little, so that time could've passed slower, and I could talk to them one more time, hug them one more time. If only the hourglass flipped around, so I could go back in time and treasure the moments I had lost. But I knew that the past belongs in the past, and I should focus on the present.
