As I look around me, I see all the happy couples. Some are holding hands, others are cuddling and some are showing one another affection. I sighed and turned my head away from all the people in love.
I was probably the only girl at my school that didn't have a boyfriend. It's not that I can't get a boyfriend, I probably could. It's just, everyone thinks I'm some stuck up bitch but in reality, that's so not true. I'm probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
It was a beautiful sunny day, it was one of the best times to have lunch. The sun had just reached it's peak and was shining brightly. When I saw a boy give his girlfriend a necklace, I decided it was time for me to go back inside the school. I've never been the type of person to enjoy watching other couples show their affection for each other.
Grabbing my bag off the ground and my garbage, I walked inside the lunchroom and threw away my trash. Then I walked out another door and went to my locker.
Something about this school creeps me out. I don't know. For instance, right now I feel like somebody's watching me. I turned around to see no one. I'm the only person in this hall and I'm one of those really paranoid people so of course I was going to get my things and get to class quicker than the flash.
I was almost to my locker when something found its way onto my shoulder. As stated earlier, I'm a very paranoid person so I whipped around at speeds so fast I could break my neck and was ready to scream. When realization set into me, I noticed it was just a boy.
This boy had to be the best looking guy I've ever met, though I don't know him. I've only been in this school for a month now and I don't know everyone (and probably never will with a school as big as this).
The guy in front of me had really soft brown hair, the kind of hair that you want to run your hands through and skin that was almost inhuman. He was tan, but not really tan. It was sort of hard to describe but it worked for him. He also had chocolate brown eyes that seemed to pull you to him. They were so hypnotizing I had to look somewhere else.
For some reason, I wanted to rip off his clothes and have my way with him right here in the hall. Whoa, did I really just think that? I have got to stop hanging around mom. Her male obsession is starting to rub off on me. I'm supposed to be the innocent, sweet girl and here I am practically thinking about raping this boy I don't even know. What the hell is wrong with me?
It took a moment for me to realize I was practically drooling over him. I looked up to meet his gaze again and was almost lost again in his eyes but I stayed strong.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"Can I take a picture of you?"
Okay, so I admit that was the most random thing someone has said to me in a while now. I barely know this guy. Wait, scratch that. I don't know the guy at all and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know me. This is the first time we've ever met each other and all of a sudden he wants to take a picture of me? That seems sort of weird and creepy at the same time.
I shifted uncomfortably. "Uhh, what do you need my picture for?"
"I have to show you something." He said in a voice that was just as uncomfortable as mine.
I raised an eyebrow. "Okay..."
I let him take the picture of me. I probably looked like an idiot. One, I was still confused as to why he would want to take my picture, I'm not the hottest thing to look at. Secondly, I hate pictures and it stunned me as to why I would let him take my picture. Lastly, I'm not the type of person that's born for the camera, when I smiled I probably looked like I had run into a glass door.
"Will you tell me what you needed my picture for now?" I asked.
The guy in front of me just smirked.
"No."
"Why not?" I said.
"If you want me to show you the picture, you have to meet me back here in this spot tomorrow. If not, I'll show this picture to my friends."
"What's so awful about it?" I crossed my arms over my chest and puffed.
"You have a huge wad of gum in your hair." A huge wad of gum? That's so embarrassing! God, I hope nobody saw it. I walked through the lunchroom where everyone is! That's so embarrassing if someone saw the gum in my hair.
Slowly, I lifted my hand up and felt all around in my hair. I don't feel it. "You're in the wrong spot. Let me help you." He said as he walked over to me and found the gum spot. He tugged on my hair slightly and put his hand in my face. In the palm of his hand was a little small amount of pink bubble gum.
"This is just a little bit. You have a lot stuck in your hair. You should probably get it out before it's to late. And don't fall asleep with gum in your hair anymore." He advised.
"I don't chew gum so I don't know how it got in there. Probably was in the mouth of that boy who was in the tree I was sitting under. He must have fallen asleep and dropped it out his mouth."
"Maybe so, but like I said before, you should get it out as soon as you can. I'll be keeping this picture so you won't forget our arrangement which is meet me back here tomorrow or I show this pretty picture to all my friends. Ooh, I have a better plan: why not post it on Facebook for the whole world to see?" He smiled devilishly.
I gasped at him. "Are you blackmailing me?" I asked.
He just shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe so." He said and walked off. I watched as he turned to face me again before leaving completely. "By the way, lunch is almost over. If you don't get it out now, it's going to really be on Facebook and probably all over the Internet. Nice meeting you." He wagged the phone in his hand to remind me of our 'meet up' tomorrow.
He turned the corner and that's when the bell rang. One by one, students filed out of the lunch room and their classes. I ran to the bathroom and looked at it. It was gross looking. I pulled my hoodie up over my head and decided I was just going to go home for the day. There was nothing in this school I could use to get gum out of my hair.
The nurse had been MIA for a couple of days so it was no use going to her. Why do bad things always have to happen to me? Well, maybe not always bad things. I did get a chance to talk to a cute but cocky, arrogant boy.
Who I have been blackmailed into seeing again tomorrow during lunch.
