Chapter 5

Kang Ryu:

"Why are you not bringing me with you? Aren't I your Queen? Meaning I also have some kind of business with your race right?" I frustratedly exclaims as Taehyung finally stops walking faster.

"Vasílissa mou, we are not married yet. That is why you are better off without this business. Look, this is for your protection." He said worriedly. "Please, just please just stay here and cooperate with the plan."

"Yeah right, we do the burial ceremony while you do all the investigations." I roll my eyes as I whisper, "I should've find some new boyfriend."

"What did you say?" He looks at me with disbelief but I give him the silent treatment. "Fine, you're coming with me. You will never. ever. replace. me." He said coldly making me shiver like he always would. He holds my hand and drags me to somewhere I don't even know.

"Works every time." I thought as the end of lips twitches, wanting to smirk.

"I heard that Vasílissa mou." Taehyung smirks and I gulp knowing he is reading my mind again. "But still, you're coming with me. Better be sure than to be sorry." He continues and tightens the grip in a good way.

Upon reaching his room, the first thing I smell is his scent and then in one second, I smell something strange. The smell got stronger when Taehyung open the dimension making a gateway.

Taehyung notices my awkward shift and sighs, "This is why I don't want you to bring with me. Because it smells the dead."

Once he finishes his sentence, we both pass through the gate. I look around and it definitely still the same like the last time I see it.

"I'm curious, why does it smell the dead?" I ask since, in the time machine, it doesn't smell anything.

"It's because when I made these two dimensions, I was reminded by the humans who were killed by our thirst." He said while smiling sadly. I grew quiet as we both walk to the hallway.

"How about when going to our world?" I question breaking the silence.

"I guess it smells sin." He simply said.

"Wait how do you know it was sin he smelled. I mean, it doesn't have a smell added to it." I looked at him weirdly and he looked at me, deadpanned. "Fine, let us just say that it was your instincts who was telling you that it smells sin."

"By the way Vasílissa mou, when that time comes, don't try doing some stupid ideas and let me be. If things get out of hand, I want you to kill me." He said seriously.

"What do you mean?" I cup his face and look straight into his eyes since I am worried.

"You really are so serious. What I meant is, when I'm doing this investigation, I will have you in my room, locked. You will not join in the investigation without my permission so don't be stubborn or else I might even lock you there forever." Taehyung smirks while I scoff in response.

"Look, why are you lyin-"

"I'm not lying. I really am serious about locking you up." He said cutting me.

"You know that is what I mean-"

"Well, I did say I will bring you with me but I didn't say you will be included in this investigation." He shrugs as I look at him, eyebrows being furrowed since he is so unbelievable right now. He keeps cutting me so that we don't have to talk about that specific subject.

"King Kim Taehyung, where on earth have you been? I have sent so many letters and not even a single letter was replied. Don't you think you've gone too far? I mean first, you let me, your younger brother who just want to be a normal butler, do the King's job. Second, you made me waste 73 papers and who knows on earth how many trees have been cut because of that and third, why are you so brutal?" We both looked at the familiar voice and saw Jungkook walking fast towards Taehyung with rage. He grips Taehyung's collar and was about to punch him but stopped when he saw me.

"Here he goes, like a mother nagging to a son." Taehyung whispers as I left out a chuckle.

"Is that you Ryu? Oh my vampire! it really is you!" Jungkook hugged me as I laughed. This is the first time we've met in this era. I completely lost the anger that was filled inside me a while ago because I saw Jungkook.

"Seriously, I also miss you lil' bunny." I grin and ruffles his hair as he pouted. "So where's Minjie?" I look around waiting for Minjie to appear but didn't.

"Well, she's having a fever right now and is currently resting at her room. We can go visit her anytime just tell me." Jungkook smiles.

"You know, you've grown a lot taller than before and a bit muscular too." I pouted while Jungkook laughed proudly as he put his hands around his waist.

"Of course, I have been stretching and lifting some weights-Wait, that's not important right now." He whispers and looks back at Taehyung. Taehyung backs off a little nervously.

"Younger brother, I planned to train you as a King that is why I leave all my work to you." He said making an excuse. I hid my laugh not trying to worsen the scenario but failed. "Ya, why are you laughing at me?" Taehyung said making a face that was written am-I-a-joke-to-you?

"Look, I just came in peace." Taehyung said and I scoff like it was true since we came here with a problem on our backs. Jungkook looks at Taehyung suspiciously and releases him.

"So, tell me, is there something wrong?" He asks, not to Taehyung but to me. "I can't fully trust my Hyung right now. He's stupid for thinking like I am 5 years old vampire who can't differentiate truth and a lie." He rolls his eyes as I laugh way harder than before while Taehyung just scoff.

"Well," I tried to recompose my self and turn serious. "Demons are trying to invade humans. More than 40 corpses were in the lab with marks on their necks. We suspected that they have joined some black organizations to gain some power but sadly, the demons played with the lives and Taehyung decided that humans will be out of this matter and only vampires can handle this situation." I briefly said. I was expecting more questions coming from Jungkook but he remained silent. I studied his face and was surprised since Jungkook's expression was very clear. He is scared.

"Taehyung, it is starting isn't it?" Jungkook, for the first time, was trembling.
