"Andrew got in a fucking fight?" Rebecca questioned with anger laced in her voice, her voice growling as she stabbed her broccoli on her food tray.
Johan sighed and pulled on his scarf, quietly eating his burger. It was the middle of winter, and Ellie along with her friends couldn't handle the cold weather although they have been experiencing it for a long time since they were little.
"Yeah, I don't know who it was that did it and why they did it though." Ellie said as she sighed through her red nose.
Rebecca brushed a stray hair from her face and stood up abruptly. Johan quirked an eyebrow and watched the brunette as she placed her tray in the cart before one of the maids pushed it away to wash it up and use it again to serve the students.
Rebecca went back to their table and picked up her expensive bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Where are you going?"
She pushed in the plastic chair she was sitting on and flipped her hair sassily.
"Gonna smoke." Rebecca said coolly. She walked away with a curt smile that the two friends knew was fake and exited the cafeteria, a whiff of sadness hitting Johan and Ellie in the face.
Johan looked at Ellie, and Ellie looked back at him, both having the exact emotions on their faces. Worry, sadness and frustration.
Three of them equally as powerful as the the other, and three of the said emotions making them rush after their friend, who was bottling the emotions inside her.
Something the four friends said not to do when they were proclaimed as the oddest group of Westwood High ever since they were freshman.
Ellie nodded at Johan and they immediately started wolfing down their food. They quickly grabbed their backpacks and dumped their plates to one of the carts, accidentally bumping into one of the cafeteria workers, earning a yell.
Ellie immediately looked back and gave an apologetic smile before running to Johan who was already dashing to the entrance, but Ellie was the school representative for running so she easily catched up with her 5'3 body.
"Where'd you think she might be?" Ellie said, slightly panting as she and Johan were now trying to locate the cheerleader's whereabouts.
Johan huffed and looked into one of the nearby classrooms, also known as the freshman history class. The students in the classroom looked back at him with a confused expression before shooing him away.
"Rude. Anyway, should we ask where the students last seen, Becca?"
Ellie nodded and proceeded to open one of the classrooms. "Yeah, it's way better than opening these fucking classrooms one by one." She said before ducking her head into the classroom.
"Uhm, have you guys seen, eh-"
"Ellie?"
"Oh, hi."
Julio was sitting by the table in the middle of the classroom, his blue button up shirt exposing a bit of his collarbone and his chest. He was engaged in a chess game, with another student seating beside him.
He cleared his throat and straightened his body awkwardly. "You guys continue the game. I'm gonna go talk to them."
The student who was playing against Julio and the students who were watching nodded at him. They reset the timer, and the another took the place Julio sat as they arranged the chess pieces back to the starting point, before starting the timer again.
Julio walked over to them and leaned against the door, crossing his arms. "What's up?"
Ellie tried to speak but fumbled over her words that Julio found funny and (cute) weird. Johan brushed her off and asked him himself.
