Lando lead the group though the long halls, "everyone prepare to leave, set out for the Resistance base," he announced into his com link causing his voice to be heard from the speakers.
Throughout the city crowds of pilots and fighters were bustling, hurrying to the ships to prepare for takeoff.
"Where's your ship?" Lando asked turning to Ben.
"She's on the landing bay," he replied.
"Alright do you mind if I ride with you so everyone knows which ship to follow?" Lando asked.
"Not at all, you can pilot the Falcon if you want, just be careful with her," Ben answered.
"Your in the falcon?" Lando smirked.
Ben nodded.
"Well I'm definitely coming with you then," Lando said.
Ben smiled, then led him to the Falcon.
"She just as beautiful as ever," Lando said looking her up and down.
Ben smiled and nodded.
Lando put his hands on Ben's shoulders "He'd be proud of you."
Ben's face fell slightly. "I hope so," he answered solemnly.
"I know he would be."
"Thank you," Ben replied.
Lando nodded giving him a good pat on the shoulder.
A few moments later....
Ben sat down in the copilot seat while Lando sat down in the pilot's seat.
"This is just like old times," Lando laughed.
Ben nodded, remembering the stories his father used to tell him.
"All ships to me," Lando shouted though the coms.
The ships lifted off and moved to follow the Falcon.
A few hours later, they reached Endor.
As the Millennium Falcon landed Princess Leia stood waiting for them.
They all came out of the Falcon and Lando went to greet the princess with a hug.
Leia offered him a warm smile. "It's been a long time."
Lando smiled. "Time may have changed me but not so the Princess Leia."
Leia blushed slightly, Lando certainly hadn't lost his charm.
"Well I brought you an army, however small it is can you us it?" Lando asked smirking.
"Yes we need every ship, weapon and fighter that we can get. The Empire's attack has left us with almost nothing. Thank you for coming to our aid," she replied.
"I'm always here to help."
