night had fallen across the land just as any night i struggled to fall asleep and keep warm, but there was something different about tonight, it felt... Quiet. Before i knew it the night had finally started.

One shot

Two shot

Three shot

Soon enough screams and bullets were all I could hear. I decided it was my chance to get out of here, so I grabbed a bag and put some of my belongings in the bag. I stood nose touching the door, as I tried to time this perfectly.

One... Two... Three... I took a deep breath and pushed the door open. I had no plan.. all I knew was I had to get out of the gate. I was running so fast, but just as I started to feeel confident my foot got caught and I tripped on something. The bag went tumbling to my right. I couldnt make out what it was because the night sky had surrounded everything. So I concentrated harder on the object but then I felt a rough pull on my ankle and I realized it was a body.  Who ever it was had a pretty had ahold of my ankle pretty tight. I grabbed at the hand and pulled something off, i pulled it closer to my eyes to see. It was a ring. I could barely make out the letters ; KIDD. This was Kidds ring! I put the ring in my pocket and scratched at his hand gripping my ankle tighter. I could hear people coming so I panicked and started to kick him. I kicked harder and harder... until the grip was gone. I carefully stood to my feet and hide behind a dumpster. I heard the voices come from around the corner and they stood for what felt like forever. I never really liked dumpsters but I couldn't tear myself away from this one. After awhile I heard what sounded like the people were dragging the body away. I waited some time then I pealed myself out into the open. I searched around to find that I was alone, a dingy smell had lingered in my nose from smashing myself to the dumpster. I rubbed my eyes to the fact that I had just killed a man... and felt no shame.

I brought myself back down to reality with a couple deep breaths. I knelt behind the seperation wall and peered to the other side. My eyes had finally adjusted enough to the pale darkness, that I could tell the ground was littered with death. I took the smeel deep in my lungs and pushed out. My feet felt like they had left the ground as an eagle the soars through sky. I didn't know how far away it was but I had to get to the gate. I wasn't even sure if the gate was open... I guess I'll figure that out when I get there.

As I approached the gate I could make out a slight gap under the wooden door. I didn't know if the gap was big enough but it never hurt to try. I pushed myself down against the dirt and let it guide my beaten body underneath the splintered wood. I stood to fast without balance and almost crashed forward but my hands saved my fall.  I was finally free! My body was exhausted, my spirit went wild. I ran so hard. So fast. Nothing was gonna stop me. My feet connected with the dirt and it felt so soft and cold. The moons gaze watched over me as I ran through the night, just as I born to do. Run.. until I couldn't run any longer.
