○° A walk in the woods °○

The sky was completely black and looking up I could hardly see the stars for the tree branches. I let out a small sigh looking foward and shoving my hands in my jacket pockets.
I could hear an owl somewhere in the forest and the crunching of my sneakers on the pathway.
I shiver a bit as the wind blows. My brown hair flying a bit in the wind. I look to my right into the dark forest. Then I look to my left and I shiver. These woods I knew like the back of my hand.
But I know if I were to stray the path I would get lost in the pitch black woods. I had never thought of this place as creepy until tonight. Never had I been out here so late. However tonight I just needed to clear my head.
I had walked back to me and Josh's apartment after work. There was a pair of heels at the door. And my heart shattered.
I ran out. I couldnt see him right then I had to go calm down and the only place I could think of was here. My absolute special place.
*Crack* The sound echoes through the woods.My heart starts hammering in my chest. I can almost feel it coming out of my chest. I spin around looking desperately for whatever made that noise. Nothing.. theres nothing. I stand still for a moment holding my breath. A minute goes by. Five minutes go by and theres no noise. I let out a breath laughing a small bit. "Nobodys here! It was just a small animal." I shake my head. Before continuing to walk.
I can hear and feel the gravel crunching underneath my feet. I feel a chill in my bones. I feel like there are eyes looking at me in every direction.
I see up ahead a bench. I let out a small sigh of relief knowing I'm almost out of the woods. The bench isnt very far from the exit. It sets right before a curve.
Just as I turn the curve I see a man up ahead. "Excuse me sir? Are you oka-" just as I get close to him he looks up a twisted smile on his face. Blood covers his face.
"Hello Sam!" He says laughing manically.
"Josh.. what is...? What have you done..?" I say as I start backing up. Looking into the eyes of the man who has lived with me and been my partner for the past 4 years.
"Well you see you walked in while I was playing a game and you ruined it so i had to finish quicker. And i knew you would come here so... how about we play a game? I'll give you a 10 second head start. 10. 9."
I spin on my heel taking off in the opposite direction. My head spinning and heart hammering. Tears fall down my face. My jacket slides off my shoulder as I turn running into the woods.
I have to hide. I have to.. he..
"READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" His voice echoes into the woods.
Leaves crunch underneath my foot as I get closer to a big tree. I can climb it. I quickly grab the lowest branch pulling my self up. Making my way up the tree.
Once I reach the top I cover my mouth with my hand. Breathing heavily as tears roll down my cheeks. What is this? Who is this? This monster isn't my Josh.
*Crunch*
I hold my breath.
*Crunch*
I can hear him getting closer.
*Crunch*
My heart is beating out of my chest.
It's gone completely quiet. I look down to see if I can see him anywhere. And that's when I feel his breath on my neck. "I found you" he whispers before everything goes black.
