To Troy's family.
I heard Miguel and Trina are now in Philippines and Troy said that tonight will be perfect for our plans of telling his family about our wedding, because they will be having a family dinner tonight.
Sakto lang din naman ang dating namin sa bahay nila because it's already 6pm.
"Good evening Sir Troy! Good evening Ma'am." Bati sa amin ng mga guards at kasambahay nila.
Ugh! Why am I so nervous?
Troy held my hand as if I'm gonna run away from him.
"Bro! We thought you can't make it tonight---" Miguel stopped when he saw me.
"H-hi Safiya!" Sabi niya then touched the back of his head. Ngumiti ako saglit and I looked at Troy. He's quiet. Tumango lang siya sa kapatid at hinila na ang kamay ko and then stopped in the middle of the living room.
"Have a seat." Nakangiting alok naman ni Troy sa akin.
Umupo ako sa couch. Maya-maya ay nakita kong pababa si Trina. Is she pregnant? Umalis saglit si Troy sa tabi ko at umupo naman si Miguel sa kaharap na couch.
"How are you?" Tanong ni Miguel. Umayos ako ng upo at tumingin sa kanya ng diretso.
"Doing pretty well." Tumatangong sagot ko.
"Is Trina, pregnant?" I asked while I saw him surprised sa tanong ko.
He nodded.
"Congrats! All the best for the both of you." Sabi ko. Actually, ngayong kita ko sa kanya...I can really say that I already moved on.
When I saw him here tonight, I am not hurt anymore. And when I think about Trina, hindi ko na maramdaman and pagkainis and maybe I already forgave her. I think this is a good start.
"Kate...I am sorry." He said out of the blue. Napatingin ulit ako sa direksiyon niya.
"For what?"
"For everything happened in the past. For hurting you before. I regret it. I really did regret it." I can see it in his eyes that he's serious and he mean it.
"Stop it, Miguel. I already forgave you." I said awkwardly. I know I was hurt before but that doesn't mean that I will still feel it until now.
The best revenge is being truly happy for what you have now.
"Really? Thank you Kate." Sabi niya nang nakangiti. I also smiled because I can see that he is happy at medyo umaliwalas ang mukha niya.
"Uhurm! Stay away from my fiancé, bro! Go to your wife and mind your own woman." Troy appeared all of a sudden na ikinatanggal ng ngiti ko.
"Tsk! Possesive." Mahinang sagot ni Miguel kay Troy.
"Fiancé? So, you are both getting married? And you really meant what you've said that you marked her yours?" Natatawang dugtong ni Miguel.
"Congrats, bro."Miguel tapped Troy's shoulder and then he walked to the dining area.
Trina is there already. Nakita ba kami ni Trina na magkausap ni Miguel? Is she jealous? Sinamaan ba naman ako ng tingin! What the!
Troy pulled the chair for me.
Bumaba na din ang parents ni Troy and her Mom looked at me for a bit bago niya bawiin ang tingin niya.
"Good evening po." I greeted but I did not received any greeting from his parents.
Biglang bumundol ang kaba ko. I looked at Troy awkwardly. Because he saw what his Mom did. She ignored me.
