True Love Waits (Merlin / Arthur fanfiction)

Merlin

I woke up just as every other morning, ate my breakfast and then I got of to Arthur. When I knocked on his door he didn't answer. I got worried, what if something had happened to him? But I snapped myself out of it, maybe he was just outside training or maybe he was in the big hall. I walked down to the stables where he had his horse, maybe he was taking care of it but I really doubted that it was true. When I came there he wasn't there, of course he wasn't. I ran up to the castle again and up to the big hall. He wasn't there either. Now I got really worried, where was he. I had to find him quickly, if he wasn't here and got late to all the things he had for the day I'd be in trouble. Just as I got out of the big hall I ran into Gwaine.

- Gwain! Do you know where Arthur is?! I asked him in panic.

- No... Isn't he with you?

- No, he wasn't in his bed when I came there...

- Try the stables..?

- I've already been there!

- Then I don't know where he is, but be sure to find him quickly. He said and ran off.

There was only one way to find him and that would be to use magic. I ran down to the place where I and Gaius lived. When I came in Gaius wasn't there, luckily. I ran up to my room and took out the magic book out of the wardrobe. I got a deep plate and filled it with water then I put it on the table. I put the book on the table and opened the book on a page in the front. I found the spell that I needed and then I mumbled the spell. The water was at first clear but then it got dark and suddenly I saw Arthur. He was lying in hay. I sighed. I knew where he was but why was he? I looked at him as he slept, I  thought about using that spell more often just to watch him sleep. I threw the water out and then I ran out of the house. I ran down to the stable again and found him sleeping in the hay just the way that I had seen him in the water. I sat down in front of him and just looked at him, he was beautiful. But I couldn't think of him in that way, I wasn't supposed to think of him in that way but yet I did. If someone found out about it I would be executed. I took a grip around his shoulers and shaked him hard. 

- What?! What is it?! Where am I?! He said and stood up. 

I just laughed at him.

- Merlin. Shut up. He said and I laughed even more. 

- What have you been up to then? I laughed.

- Nothing. He quickly said. 

There was something weird about him, he was acting strange.

- Arthur..?

- I said it's nothing! Anyway, you need to sharp my sword, clean my shoes, wash my finest clothes, polish my shield and help me with the greeting speach.

- Greeting speach? 

- A king, named Meliodas, of Lyonesse is coming here with his daughter, Valerie, and son, Tristan, he wants to arange a mariage between his daughter and I... 

My heart stopped when he said mariage. Would he marry Valerie or would he reject her like he did with every one, ever since Gwen got banished?

- Well..? Arthur said irritated.

- Yes I'm going. I said, turned around and walked out of the room.
