ooo boy this is gonna be a long one. enjoy the last (and only) chapter of their lives after daniel >:)

AND! this is not edited, sorry if things are misspelled 💛

enjoy<3

corbyn slept peacefully in his bed years later. morgan and peter were seniors in high school, alex was in 7th grade and little baby nalia was in 3rd grade.

the band never got back together, not after the death of daniel, it hurt too much to sing and do what they love without him. they didn't do solo careers, they just, sort of.. fell off planet earth. they hardly talk to each other, they don't have daily visits. their daily visits turned into heated arguments, which turned into (sometimes) physical fights, which turned into them just not talking anymore.

and corbyn knew. he knew daniel wouldn't want this, but is he here to say that? no. no he isn't. his dumbass decided to trade himself for morgan and peter, and while corbyn is so very glad to have his two kids back with him, he ended up losing the love of his life in the process.

peter. peter besson. corbyn ended up adopting peter, making him his fourth and final kid.

corbyn opened his eyes. a sigh left his lips, rolling on his back. it was still dark in his room. like normal, he had woken up before his alarm clock. so he made sure to turn off the alarm, before getting out of bed to wash up. the necklace that had daniel's letter in it was still wrapped around his neck. it never left corbyn's body. he never had the heart to take it off- to move on. he'll never move on. not from daniel.

corbyn made his way down the stairs and to the kitchen to start up the coffee machine. the smell of vanilla soon filled the house, making corbyn smile small. while the coffee started to brew, he opened the blinds to the house, and turned off the house alarm. when the beeping to the machine was heard, he quickly made himself a cup, then sat down and finally checked his phone.

he had a few texts from andrew, just reminding him to do something, christina, she had sent a text to check up on him, and his parents just sent a quick 'i love you.' corbyn closed out of the messaging app, finishing his coffee in peace.

his days were calm. he woke up, made coffee, and took the kids to school. he would watch the news, maybevisit daniel, and come back home to clean. then he would make some food, bake a cake or a pie, and pick the kids up from school, easily avoiding the ex-band mates. he would take them home, and relax, helping the kids with any homework problems they had, then start dinner.

it was the boring, slightly domestic life he never wanted.

corbyn let out a heavy sigh, touching the necklace with daniel's ring and his note. the doorbell rang. corbyn stood up without a second thought, heading over to the front door. he unlocked the locks and slowly opened the door, glaring at jack who stood there with his arms crossed.

"what?" corbyn grumbled, starting to walk back into the kitchen. jack followed him, closing the door. "does zach know you're here?"

"he doesn't need to know my every move." jack sat down at the kitchen table. "plus, i'm here to pick up morgan and peter."

"what? why?" corbyn asked, starting to make their lunches.

"you.. you wanted me to pick them up?" jack narrowed his eyes. "we talked about this last week, corbyn."

"don't remember that." he shrugged, taking out the peanut butter and jelly. he sighed. "they should be down soon."

"great." he muttered, playing with his ring on his finger. corbyn clenched his jaw, feeling tears of frustration brim his eyes. corbyn didn't know why he had tears in his eyes, but any time one of the boys comes over for mainly the kids, because they can't be civil anymore, corbyn get's tears in his eyes, then a stupid fight breaks out and they don't talk to each other for months on end. corbyn was quick to make four sandwiches, putting them in their lunch boxes, adding a juice bag and chips before zipping them up.
