Layla-Majnun:Layla and Majnun is an old story of Arabic origin about the 7th-century Najdi Bedouin poet Qays ibn al-Mullawah and his ladylove Layla bint Mahdi (or Layla al-Aamiriya).The Layla-Majnun theme passed from Arabic to Persian, Turkish, and Indian languages most famously through the narrative poem composed in 584/1188 by the Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi, as the third part of his Khamsa. It is a popular poem praising their love story.It was stated and credited as the 'The Romeo and Juliet of the East by Lord Byron.

It was the time when the great and the magnificient Ummayad dynasty were ruling over the whole of the Arabian Peninsula during the pre-Islamic era. Within a very short span of years they had established themselves as one of the most powerful and the most stable dynasties across the globe in all the due respects and spheres including socially,politically as well as economically.

They had a strong footing on the financial as well as the marginal grounds too! They had the best of the army, the best of swords and other war weapons,the best of the military force and the horses! Over the years they had built cordial relations with their fellow towns, cities and districts due to which the trade routes were built between them so that the import and the export of the goods could be carried out without any kind of hindrance.

The Arabian Peninsula at that particular point of time was witnessing what we call it's golden period and was on the pinnacle of strength and was on its peak of prosperity and success!
