Awaiting his return

Dante laid on the couch sprawled out, his cherished pillows laying in a corner and his gift to Travis still in its packaging waiting in his room for him, when he finally returns.

Everyone who returned from starlight filled him and the rest in on what wasn't reported and what had happened to Aaron. Once they all were filled in, and the worriers finished their panic attacks. They all agreed to help Aaron and each other.

But, no matter what the others tried, nothing cheered Dante up, not even when hearing the good news that Travis and Aphmau were to be released soon. Or when the date had been set, to be in a month. Sadly, he hadn't been keeping track of the days and he never had the mind to ask anyone when they came over. So, he laid waiting for his white-haired roommate.

*One Month Later*

Dante had done his morning routine. Brushed his teeth, combed his hair, feigned confidence as he winked at himself in the mirror, returning to his dilapidated form, and trudging out of the bathroom, and walking into Travis's room, to stare for a while. he could never tell how long he stands there every morning, sometimes it's for a short while, sometimes either Laurence, Gene, Garroth, or anyone who comes in that morning finds him still staring at the empty room and empty bed. It worried them when they found him like that, just staring.

But, today it only seemed to last for about 5 minutes. He then decided to do whoever was visiting him a favor and make them both breakfast, he had a feeling that today was going to be a good day. After he finished that, he sat on the usual spot on the couch and waited for the sound of the door, clutching his prized green pillow close. Then finally, he heard the door open. The footsteps didn't sound like anyone he'd recognized. But, he didn't bother to turn around, he figured it was Katelyn, he never fully recognized her steps. "I made breakfast today, it's waiting on the counter." he paused waiting for a response.

"Okay..." it was a feeble answer, that's when Dante decided to turn around and look to see who it was. To which he was then tackled by a ball of white hair. That's when it finally clicked,

"Travis!" he started to tear up, "Oh, Your Back You're Back You're Back!!" He hugged the man closely.

"Dante, what's happened to you?" Travis looked closely at the Navy haired male. he saw bags under his eyes and was a little thinner than when he left.

"Heh, I stopped taking care of myself, but everyone else picked up the slack and brought me back on my feet..." he trailed off, seemingly lost in thought," Oh! I got you something! It's in your room." he smiled widely. Travis got up and shuffled to his room. Dante got up slowly and followed, he heard a gasp and a loud cheer and was again tackled. this time also socked in the face by a solid mass, of soft fabric.

"Thank You! Thank You!" Travis babbled on and on, shaking the Taco-cat in his face. "Your Welcome!" Dante Chuckled. as they laid on the floor, they stared into each other's eyes, and Travis leaned in slowly, and Dante leaned in close as well. Connecting their lips in a soft yet passionate kiss. Dante wrapped his arms around Travis into a close embrace. they finally ended the kiss and he felt Travis relax in his arms.

"You don't know how much I've missed you." Dante murmured into Travis's ear. "I'm so glad your back..." he closed his eyes and allowed himself to relax as well.

They spent who knows how long on the floor, until Dante had to use the restroom. "Trave..." Dante paused, not wanting to get up. "Travis, I need to pee" He received a chuckle as he got off of Dante and retreated to his room, most likely to unpack all his things.

As Dante got up, all he could think was, "I can't believe he's finally back, he's finally back with me."
