I sat on my bed and looked at my wrist. Two more hours, I thought as I covered my wrist. I never had 'bestfriends' growing up but on your 18th birthday you get assigned one. I sat in my bed fear running through my body. I closed my eyes and felt a small smile creep to my lips. I quickly sat up as my mom burst through the door. "Get up you're going to be late for school!!" She yelled pulling me out of my bed by my wrist. I stood up from the ground and quickly grabbed my favorite grey hoodie with my black ripped jeans and old canvas shoes. I brushed my hair and teeth an grabbed my keys and ran to my old car. I hopped in and began to drive to my school when the damn thing broke down. I hit the steering wheel and grabbed my bag and everything else. I slammed the door shut and mumbled under my breath. I began to walk when I looked at the time. "SHIT!" I looked around for the quickest way and noticed the most quickest way. I ran into the woods ducking under trees and jumping over branches. My messy bun giving out and falling down. Branches catching and things getting stuck. I continued to run when I jumped over a tree stepping right into a huge, muddy puddle. "Noooo!" I yelled I heard people laughing and I began to walk the sound of slush under my feet made me uncomfortable. I reached then end of the woods to see the school a bit further. A sound came, a sound that I never liked, the bell. I sighed and took off towards the school. I stepped into the school to see the halls completely empty. (Time skip!) I stood at my classroom door and then opened it. Everyone looked at me like I just got done killing someone. Then every girls eyes got wide. I turned around and tripped falling onto the person. I looked down to see a very attractive boy. His hair was a nice brown with curls in it and his smile was something that could kill anybody. "Are you okay?" He asked. I cocked an eyebrow at his voice. Realization hit me and I quickly stood up blushing like crazy. He led out my hand helping this person up. "Yeah, sorry..." I said picking up my book. "I'm Maihua Lee." I smiled a bit but couldn't manage to meet her eyes. "I'm-" "(Y/N)! Detention for you!" I rolled my eyes and turned around. I walked into the class and heard people snickering. I sighed and sat down placing my head as far down as I could. Great, I thought. (Time skip!) The bell rang telling each and every antsy teenager it was time to go. I stood up and packed everything quickly walking out of the door. I ran down the stairs and to my locker. I threw my bag over my shoulder and dashed out the door. I stopped running when I was at the bottom of the stairs. I looked down at my feet and began to walk when I saw three pairs of heels stand in front of me. I looked up to see, Maryum, Jessie, and Jordan. I sighed and Maryum pushed me. Jessie walked behind me and grabbed my bag. I whipped around and jumped at her but she tossed my bag. I sighed and picked it up. I felt hands grab me and I tried to fight back but they were to strong. They all began to brin me to the water fountain. "Guys stop!" I cried but they snickered. They shoved me in making me hit the water face first. I sighed as they walked away. Everyone laughed making blush. I stood up and grabbed most of my things when another hand helped out. I looked up to see Maihua. She smiled at me and handed me my things. "Hey sorry what happened at the door I didn't think that would happen." I smiled a bit. "It's okay I didn't expect someone to be there." We both laughed when a teacher came walking out. Maihua pushed me into the fountain an pointed down. She stood in front of me as the teacher approached. "Have you seen (y/n) (l/n)?" I watched as Maihua shook her head and the teacher walked off. Maihua helped me out and then looked at me. "I'm so sorry." Sh apologized. I began to laugh when I moved a piece of hair from my face. (Time skip!) "Why did the chicken cross the road?" I looked back and smiled. "why?" "Because he was going to KFC!" She laughed. I smiled and chuckled a bit. We kept walking when we stopped at an apartment complex. I looked over to Maihua and she smiled. "Wanna come in?" I smiled slightly and hesitantly nodded. We headed in and she shut the door. I stood in her living room and had my back to her. Something hit me in the back and I turned around to see sweat pants and a hoodie on the ground. "You can wear them." I picked them up and smiled at her. She showed me to her bedroom and I closed the door. I took my shirt off and my pants and slipped the hoodie and sweats on. I fixed the sleeves and noticed something on my wrist. I looked at it a second longer my eyes getting wide. A knock from the door startled me. I quickly opened the door holding my cloths. "Sorry I got distracted." I said looking down. "Happy birthday..." I looked up to see her smiling a bit. A small smile crept to my lips. "Thank you." She grabbed my hand gently and pulled up my sleeve to reveal a name. "Maihua." She said smiling. "So you're my best friend, (y/n)."
