The same thing has happened now that is in the book except Draco does not walk over to his parents he stays by Hermione's side so they can leave once the battle is over. She also didn't kiss Ron in the Chamber of Secrets.

Hermione's P.O.V.
Harry is alive and dueling Voldemort while Ron and I are running back from the Chamber or Secrets. Harry come in and yells
"He's Dead! Voldemort is dead!" And in this moment I lock eyes with Draco as we both think the same thing. We are free. Free to be together Always and forever.

While everyone is Congratulating Harry I write a note to my friends. It reads,
If you are reading this you now know I am gone. Not dead but gone. I am going to Australia to restore my parents memory and travel the world as I cope with this experience. I love you all and will do my best to keep in touch but please do not come looking for me. I repeat, do not come looking for it because this is something I have to do on my own. I am sorry for everyone's losses and I hope to keep in touch.

I leave the note where I know they will find it and walk over to Draco.
"Ready to go love?" He asks
"Ready as I'll ever be." He grabs my hand and we apparate away. Australia here we come.
