Kairi walked around The Hop, the black market, looking for anything that caught his eye. The building was filled with people, and there were little to no space to move around. People set up shop, and chatter started to build up. There were plenty of goods there, illegal goods thats is.

Kairi stopped at a stand and looked all throughout the table. Something shiny caught his eyes, so he picked it up and observed it.

"What's this,"He said rubbing it with his thumb.
"That's a...Mockingjay,"the little old women said tiredly.

"How much?"Kairi asked after a few moments of silence.
"You keep it,"the woman said shaking her head,"It's yours."

"Thank you,"Kairi smiled as the woman smiled back.

Kairi walked back home and seen boys buttoning up their shirts and girls straightening out their skirts. A mother hugged his son dearly and whispered comforting words into his ear. Peacekeepers walked throughout the neighborhood keeping making sure everyone is in order.

"Mom,"Maiya said as she stood their waiting for her mother to notice her. She looked over to see Maiya in two pigtails and a white dress.

"Aww. Look at you,"Kairi said cutting their mother off as she was walking towards her and knelt down to her level,"You look beautiful."

"Let's better tuck in that tail by the back,"He said as Maiya smiled at him.

"I made something out for you two,"Their mother said from behind them.

Maiya looked up with her smile vanishing while Kairi just stood there straightening out her dress.

"Okay,"Kairi said softly.

Kairi went upstairs to their little bathroom and bathed. He scrubbed his feet and picked his nails until all the dirt came off. Once he was done he went inside his room and stared at the button up long sleeve in front of him. He knew it was going to be awkward for him later, but he was not wearing a dress.

His mother came in and helped him with his hair. They both stood in the mirror and looked at each other.

"How you look beautiful too,"His mother smiled while he stared at her with no emotion.

"Wish I looked like you,"Maiya said while sitting on the bed.

"Oh no,"Kairi said ignoring his mother's words and walked towards his sister,"I wish I looked like you-"

Kairi got cut off by the horns coming from outside. The family of three looked out the window and seen everyone come out their house, and walk towards the hall of justice. Maiya got nervous and started to breathe a little heavy.

"Hey,"Kairi said noticing and rubbed her back,"Wanna see what I got for you today."

"It's a mockingjay pin, to protect you,"Kairi said taking out the object from his pocket,"as long as you have it nothing bad will happen to you."

"I promise,"He softly spoke as he put it in her hand and smiled.

The horn blared again signaling it as a last call. The three of them walked down the concrete street with peacekeepers behind them. It was silent, the only thing  making noise was the shuffling of their feet and nature. People held hands as they walked towards the confirmation stands. Kairi held Maiya's hand as he looked around observing every little thing. Maiya gasped as she seen a lady take blood from one of the girls from the confirmation stand.
