...
Mmm...
Huh...?
I opened my eyes listlessly from slumber. The very first thing I saw are the leaves clinging on the trees clouding the shining morning sky. I remained idly lying down on the grassy land as I astonish myself at how beautiful the peaceful, lush leaves look.
I gazed around me. Moss-covered trees surround the area, with wild bushes and leaves all over the ground and the trees' barks. Thin vines hang loosely on the arms of the trees, clinging from one trunk to another. The melodic echoes of the bird's chirps can be heard in the area, yet not even a single shed of their feathers can be seen.
*yawn*
I yawned loudly. My eyes are still drowsy and heavy I want to go back to sleep. But before I could do so, something besides me had my attention again.
I turned my body to the right to look at him better. He kind of looks like me... He looks as old as me, he has long messy hair both on the back and front side. I couldn't even almost see his face. He has a plain dirty white tunic and plain tattered dark grey pants with a rope tied around his waist like a belt. And he's also barefooted, like me.
But what I really noticed about him that piqued my interest is that...he's embracing some kind of black item bound around by some dirty white cloth. I don't know what it is but it does look really cool. I kind of want one too.
He's sleeping so peacefully it's making me envious. *yawn*
I rubbed my eyes gently and when I opened them for one last time, the other boy's eyes were now as open as mine. By as open as mine, I mean that they're half-opened.
"Huh? Oh, good morning!" I greeted him pleasantly and out of instinct, not forgetting the wide smile on my face.
He didn't reply to me. He just gazed at me so blankly. He then looked around his surroundings, as if he's a lost lamb searching for its shepherd.
Well, that's just rude, ignoring me like I'm but a leaf in this sea of trees.
Now I don't feel sleepy anymore. Feeling pumped, I raised my two feet up in the air, then propelled them forward, my body following its motion. Standing up now, I reached for the mute boy's hand.
