Ark Survival Evolved Extinction: To Purge the Corruption

The Ice Titan

AUTHORS NOTE: I shouldn't have to say this, because 1.) extinctions been out for like a year, spoilers are free real estate at this point and 2.) its a story regarding the bosses.

But people always get angry when people don't put the warning so.

              As she opened her eyes, Lea noticed that she was no longer inside the cave, as she looked around, she noticed a large cliff near her location with what appeared to be a large structure at the top. Mammoths and Rhinos as well as other creatures seemed to be wandering around the area, but other than glance at her managarmr  to make sure it wasn't going to attack them, the creatures seemed generally... normal... they definitely couldn't be the bosses minions. Speaking of the boss, where was it? she looked around, holding onto her tek rifle, looking for anything that could be the boss, as far as she could tell there was nothing in sight that could be it. But she could feel the presence of something powerful nearby, her managarmr hissed, whipping its head around nervously, clearly he also felt it. Lea patted the neck of her managarmr to try to calm it, before gently tugging on the reins. Her managarmr immediately took off into the air, before slowly gliding towards a large platform near the cliffs. That strange feeling grew stronger and Lea noticed a faint outline of purple starting to appear, her eyes widened and she pulled on the reins of her managarmr when she realized what it was. Her managarmr let out a shriek and boosted high into the sky, barely avoiding a large horn that had formed. This had to be the boss.

             Lea stared in shock as the rest of the boss took form, the titan resembled a large gorilla, simalier to the megapithecus, but its feet and hands were clawed and it has a long tail with an icicle shaped spear at the end of it, large curved horns from its head and ice-like armor on its back. Strange purple and black tendrils were on its chest and legs. The boss was comparable to the size of Rockwell. It shook itself before pawing the ground and jumping a few meters of the ground and landing with a sudden THUD, shaking the ground. Im supposed to fight that?!? Lea thought in disbelief. The surrounding creatures suddenly began to panic and flee from the boss, which immediately noticed and started to walk after them.

        Suddenly a wild managarmr leapt into the sky and dived at the boss, blasting it with its ice breath before pulling up and into the sky, screeching in defiance, as it turned around and boosted back at the titan to attack again. The titan just snorted as it got blasted again by the managarmr, whos attacks seemed to be useless in hurting the titan, the managarmr boosted into the sky again, gliding downwards before flying back at the titan again for another attack, this time the titan decided to defend itself and inhaled air, before blasting ice at the managarmr and freezing it midair, where it fell to the ground and shattered into pieces. A titan that breathes ice, an ice titan, Lea thought grimly, I can't let that attack hit me or my creature. The ice titan shook itself again before looking at the terrified creatures still fleeing away. "Oh no you DONT!" Lea yelled, her managarmr jumped into the air and blasted the ice titan with its breath, like the wild managarmr this didn't seem to do anything, but at least it turned its attention away from the innocent wildlife nearby. Lea fired a few shots at the ice titan, and it grunted and ducked its head to protect its eyes and face from the blasts. Her managarmr then dived at the ice titan at full speed, slashing it with its wings as it dived past before boosting away, quickly out of the ice breath range. She quickly steered her managarmr above the ice titan, who tried to turn and look up at her. She fired more shots from her tek rifle at the ice titan's head, her managarmr dove and boosted around trying to find in opening as the titan repeatedly twisted and turned its head, as well as lifting its front legs to block the shots. Lea quickly decided to stop firing at it, the tek blasts did little to the titan and she was just wasting element right now. The titan bellowed at her once it realized it was no longer under fire. Her managarmr snarled back. Lea steered her managarmr downwards and diving past the titan, looking for weak points, the titan swung its arm at her flinging large chunks of ice and missing, with her managarmr blasting it with its ice breath as it flew around the titan. Lea fired shots at the underbelly as they dived past again, hoping that maybe the underbelly was more vulnerable than the rest of it. The ice titan made a rumbling sound as it lifted its back legs to try and kick or stomp on them, when it suddenly roared in pain and its back leg hit the ground with a thud as one of the blasts hit it. Bellowing in anger and surprise it clawed the ground with its huge arms and leapt away, as it did she noticed the purple and black tendrils that had been on its leg were now morphing and glowing simalier to how the overseer's body had been. That has to be a weak point then! Its the only thing so far that seems to hurt this boss. With this new discovery, "Quickly! Shoot its corruption!" She told her managarmr, who nodded and unleashed its ice breath at the titans leg.  

The titan bellowed and turned, trying to shield the corrupted tendril-like things, but Lea's managarmr was too quick and it easily got around it as Lea fired more tek blasts at the corrupted part before it bursted and disappeared. The titan let out an angry roar and spit an ice chunk at her but the managarmr quickly boosted into the sky away from the ice chunk. Lea noticed that the more tendrils started pulsing and quickly destroyed them with the help of her managarmr.

After a while only one corrupted part remained, the one on the chest. As her managarmr dropped downwards to get a clear shot of the corruption, the titan swiped its large arm as the managarmr got close to the ground, knocking Lea off her managarmr and sending it flying into the nearby cliff. The titan immediately lifted its arms, ready to crush her. She raised her tek rifle and fired a shot before closing her eyes waiting for the titan to kill her, but nothing happened. Confused, she opened her eyes and noticed that her shot had destroyed the last of the corruption on the titan, the titan however, wasn't dead like she had expected it to be once she destroyed the corruption on it. If anything the titan seemed confused and curious. Lea slowly got up, and she and the titan looked at each other for a few seconds before a pained cry interrupted the moment. Quickly Lea scrambled to her feet and rushed to her injured managarmr (yes it lived, its called leveling hp lol) as it painfully tried to get back up. It seemed to calm down a bit once it saw her and started nuzzling her with its head, happy she was alright. It immediately snarled once it saw the Ice titan though, barking and growling at it while attempting to nudge Lea behind itself. The ice titan seemed to flinch at the aggressive reaction from the managarmr and looked away towards at the ground as if feeling guilty.

"Shh, its okay, it doesn't want to hurt us" She reassured her managarmr as she gently patted its head. The managarmr seemed to let its guard down a bit more. "its ok!" She called to the Ice titan, "It wasn't your fault." She looked back at her injured managarmr. "I wonder how we're going to get around while we wait for you to recover though." 

As if it had heard her question, the Ice titan lowered its body to the ground and reached its arm out to form a sort of ramp, beckoning them to climb on. 

Time Skip by about a few minutes:

The Ice titan turned out to be a very reliable traveler, despite its slow speed while walking, it definitely got around easily with its huge jumps. They arrived back at Lea's base very soon, the presence of the giant titan at first startling a lot of her creatures before they realized it meant to harm. A daedon immediately started to heal the managarmr. Lea glanced at the Ice titan before putting her hand on one of its large claws. "So I guess this means your leaving soon? Farewell I guess." The Titan shook its head as a reply before laying down outside the base.

"Oh... are you staying here then?"

The Ice Titan replied by nodding its head.

"Well in that case... Welcome to the tribe!"

Lea smiled as she realized she had made a new friend, as night settled over the desolate lands, she wondered where her journey would take her next.

Also I'm planning on only having 4 chapters, 1 dedicated to each titan, the king titan HAS to be last. But what do you guys think, vote on which titan you want to see next
